What a delightful update to this Arabi neighborhood bar staple! This bar is located where Perino's was on St. Claude, and it's definitely not a dive. The selection of craft and import beers is impressive, though everything is in cans and bottles. No taps. I tried a grapefruit Radler I'd never seen before; it was great! The selection of call liquors is also good. The bartenders are veterans of the Quarter and Ninth Ward bars and definitely know what they are doing, so don't be afraid to order a cocktail. The ambiance has had the best update, with a lovely green jewel tone on the walls, taxidermy, antique mirrors, etc. There is still a pool table, video poker, and a jukebox too. Plus, there is food now on the premises. We will try that next time. This place has always been clean (great women's bathroom for a bar!) and new looking, and now it has character too!
UPDATE: They have about four beers on tap now, including Cane Break. Also, the Rear Window is great for bar snacks! I will be posting more...
