This store is beautifully decorated. I purchased several items of Mardi Gras clothing to the tune of $490. One of the items was a $95 white sweater with purple green and gold tinsel on the sleeves. I asked for care instructions while in the store as there were none on the sweater and was told maybe dry cleaning. I was suspicious about the advice thinking solvent may melt the tinsel but I’m not an expert. After one wearing the purple tinsel bled on the body of the sweater. I went to the store to advise them of my issue with the sweater. I had my receipt that clearly stated after 7 days there was no return or exchanges. In my mind I was addressing a product defect. The manager asked me if I had tried to wash the sweater. I told her I had not as I wanted her to see what happened after one wearing. She then told me I should try washing it and that the sweater had been sold last year with no issues. She also remarked that she didn’t know if I had spilled on the sweater or what else I may have done to the garment. Basically she was accusing me of mistreating the garment. I typically go out of my way to support local businesses and even more so women owners. I will never spend another nickel on her merchandise.
