If you are staying in New Orleans, Zydeco's is just a short drive over the Mississippi river. We ordered a variety of food for our party so we could share and taste everything. We had the boiled blue crabs, boiled crawfish, charbroiled oysters, Zydeco's combo seafood platter, boudin spring rolls, and a hamburger for the kiddos. The crabs were full and boiled to perfection. I don't know if it was luck or by design, but most of our crab order were female and we very much enjoyed the roe! The crawfish were seasoned well, perhaps not as spicy as I generally would make them but enough for a great taste and would satisfy the average customer for sure. They were all about medium size, and while not the easiest peeling they were still about average peeling. The Zydeco combo platter comes with not one, but two soft shell crabs! The boudin spring rolls are surprisingly good, and come with spicy mayo dipping sauce. I cannot recommend the charbroiled oysters enough, you MUST order them here .. they are dressed in butter, a hint of garlic, and cheese and come with slice of lemon and a couple slices of french bread. This place is where to go If you are looking for an authentic Cajun boil!

These are the reviews I don't like to leave... First, the good! Atmosphere is different from other places in this area. Open, clean *very* clean, professional staff and friendly hostess. Our server was fine with exception of forgetting an item which happens! First...the drink. My sister and I both got a summer raspberry lemonade, a vodka based drink. There is no way that had any alcohol it. One and done. Side salads were not fresh lettuce. Wilted on the bottom. Lots of crunchy croutons tho! Crab cakes... if you like hard fried mostly filler crab cakes with a ridiculous amount of spices that diguise any small amout of actual crab meat that may be accidently thrown in fillers, then YES, order them. Otherwise, save your money and hit up McDs for a fish fillet. They may have used all the spices on the crab cakes and completely forgot to flavor the catfish. Bland and over friend. We didn't bother with dessert. Now, I will say "you get what you pay for," and the prices, for the most part, reflected the quality. Again, the friendly staff and cleaniless were a positive.

31AUG24 ~ They nickel & dime you to death. They charge you for water! They charge you for using a credit card, even if you do not use a credit card! French fries do NOT come with a fried seafood dish, any seafood dish! The portions are "Child's Portions!" (Except the salad) Recommend you go find a real seafood restaurant, not this shyster outfit. 09MAR25 ~ The owner's response speaks poorly for whomever wrote the response. You charge for people using a credit card! Look at the receipt. You are NOT being honest! At least the waitress, who told us that Zydeco's charges 3% for using a credit card, was more honest than the writer, or maybe just more knowledgeable. You also still charged us the credit card fee even though we paid cash! You stole the fee amount from us! You were also deceptive when you talked about the water. You do not offer a glass of water. The waitress said the only water available at the table was bottled water at $1.75/bottle. Now add being without integrity to the above review.

A friend and I decided to have dinner at your establishment like we have done many times before. As we placed our order. my friend ordered a sweet tea in a to go cup. As we were sitting and waiting for our meal, the waitress (Jasmine I believe her name was) brought two drinks in two to go cups. Well neither of us thought anything of it. We just figured that perhaps the waitress poured one of the incorrect drinks and the sweet tea and instead of throwing it out, she just brought the table both cups as a courtesy. Needless to say, my friend nor I touched the second drink because although we appreciated what we thought was a kind gesture, it's not what either of us ordered.

As the night matriculated, we enjoyed our food as usual over conversation. While we were talking, the waitress came over and brought us the bill. We took note of the bill and saw that it had the additional soda on it. When we notified the waitress, she insisted that my friend did indeed order two drinks. Please keep in mind the second drink the waitress thought she heard my friend order, was never touched because again, that wasn't the correct beverage. In most services where customer service is a priority to the waitress, a simple apology for the mix up would have been given and that would have been the end. I have never been in a situation in which the waiter told someone they ordered something and they didn't. Needless to say, she seemed slightly bothered, however, she took it off the bill.

A few minutes later, she came back and asked were we ready to close out. We indicated that we were not ready as of yet. We were still eating and had not had the chance to gather our forms of payment. She came over about 15-20 minutes later and asked again. By this time we were ready. We both paid and left a tip. After that, we continued to have our conversation while casually eating off our meal that was placed in "to go" plates. After about 10-15 minutes, the waitress comes back and told us the following "I am going to need this table." When I heard her, I was slightly taken aback because I had to process what she was saying. I then asked her “Are you asking us to leave?” and she says yes. We then got up and asked to speak to the manager. The waitress, Jasmine, then tried to interject, however, she was totally out of line. The manager was nice and tried to apologize but the amount of disrespect from this incident was just too much. I was supposed to do a large family reunion dinner there bc their food is good, however, II haven’t been able to bring myself back since. Shame on a waitress asking a customer...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at an exceptional restaurant that left an indelible impression on me. The culinary delights that graced my table were nothing short of extraordinary, and I simply cannot contain my enthusiasm in sharing my experience.

The Blackened Tuna Pasta was a true masterpiece, seamlessly blending succulent tuna with perfectly seasoned pasta. Every bite was a delightful revelation, showcasing the chef's remarkable skill and attention to detail.

The all-you-can-eat crawfish offering was a delightful indulgence, allowing me to savor the flavors of the sea to my heart's content. Each morsel was a testament to the restaurant's dedication to providing an abundance of delectable options.

Additionally, the Blackened Red Snapper impressed me with its delicate flavors and impeccable preparation. The chefs showcased their expertise, ensuring that every bite was a harmonious blend of spices and tender fish.

The Fried Pickles were a delightful surprise, offering a crisp and tangy experience that perfectly complemented the meal. It was evident that even in the smallest details, the restaurant's commitment to quality was unwavering.

Beyond the culinary delights, the restaurant exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The familial charm and tasteful decor created an ambiance that enhanced the dining experience, making it even more enjoyable.

I must commend the exceptional service I received from the attentive and knowledgeable staff. Their genuine warmth and dedication elevated my visit, making me feel like a valued guest. Their efforts truly contributed to the overall enjoyment of my evening.

The beverage selection was equally impressive, with a well-curated array of drinks and a delightful variety of beers. Each sip was a delightful complement to the meal, adding to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

In conclusion, my first impression of this restaurant was nothing short of fantastic, and I am eagerly looking forward to returning. I wholeheartedly recommend giving it a try and experiencing the culinary delights and warm atmosphere for yourself. The staff's exceptional service and the management's commitment to creating a memorable dining experience are deserving of appreciation and...

Racist! We are an Asian family of 9. We were there last night. They were busy but had a few tables available that they could have put those tables together for us. We were thinking with labor shortage that they may be understaffed. Totally understandable. We waited at least 30 minutes. Then a white family of 8 came in. A few minutes later, the manager and hostess decided to put those empty tables together and called the other family. The other family and us were confused. We were there way before them and they got seated before us. There was no way that they didn’t see all 9 of us waiting in front of the check in stand. The other family proceeded to the table. As they were walking they asked the manager why they were getting seated before our family. We have also asked. They decided to seat us. No apology from the manager. The manger hurried make another table for the other family. We sat there in total of 40 mins. They had tables available that they could have us seated sooner. It wasn’t staff issue. They just wanted us to wait. If it wasn’t for the other family coming in , we probably would have waited longer. We do not use the race card but this was so blatantly in our face, even the other family noticed. Our family is from out of town and wanted Cajun food. We decided to stay and eat. Nicole , our waitress was amazing. She turned our...
