Dixie Chicken — Restaurant in Louisville

Good chicken, friendly staff!! The food is consistently good especially the green beans!! The staff are always friendly and greeted and treated like family. Everyone is extremely nice and friendly including the owner sam who I've seen helping out and had several conversations with. I've seen left overs at night go to those who otherwise wouldn't get anything to eat and I don't have to yell my order through glass. Have I gotten the wrong piece of chicken once or twice, sure no restaurant is perfect, but they care enough to listen and fix an honest mistake. I remember back in the day when Sam and his brothers grinding with the restaurant. The food was always good and the service was excellent. Now about 10yrs later the food has fallen off. The staff is still nice and friendly but the food is just blah. They have cheap menu options but i would rather go to indies or chicken king or sit in the forever long line at Kings Chicken. But if im hungry and in a crunch for time ill grab a bite here like a fish sandwich or...

Got a 16 piece and got home to a 12 piece and the chicken not good at all. Don't won't have to worry about us ever coming back. I was stupid for passing up a couple of chicken places to come here to be dissatisfied............. Then tell me I have to drive back 30 freaking blocks when if they done they damn job at first I wouldn't have to......!!!!!!! Damn lie if I do drive back it's just one less customer you won't have to worry about..... Thanks for the nasty...
