The manager is extremely inexperienced & unprofessional. Instead of reconciling an issue, there was an assignment of blame. I've advised her that we've just ordered, have not paid, attempted to pay, was told to sit down and wait for a number. Told her we did not have a # how do we know our #. Said she'll provide a #. My spouse & I discussed it and I've asked him to go back there and pay for the order and retrieve a receipt. Which resulted in poorly choice words on her part, and assignment of blame. I went up there and told her, we hadn't pay yet. She said how do you get a # if you didn't pay.. My husband & I both looked at each other in surprised, how stupid was that comment?? We both said "You had two people telling you the same thing.. 3 times!!" Instead of a simple apology to help us understand her, she attempted to twist all the words instead of accepting responsibility and offering a solution. There was a line of witnesses observing the whole spectacle. It was a terrible experience having to do this in front my child.. whom she completely didn't bother to consider toning down her behavior in front of. Just complete dismissal of an adult responsibility over food order, customer satisfaction, and consideration to tone down the behavior in front of 4 year old. I was expecting more professionalism from someone holding a title.
That was not the first incident that I've personally received harsh blame from her, a few months prior to the incident above, there had been another. Since I've frequent the place and generally order the same thing, I've order regular chicken not tenders. I dislike tenders for some odd reason. Was giving the wrong order, only came to realize this when I got home. Had to inconvenient myself into driving from home back to the restaurant to get the right order. Advise them they've put it the wrong order. I was completely blamed for ordering wrong by the manager. Told her, I know exactly what I've ordered. I do not deviate from my regular order, it's not my first time there, I frequent the place. I'm NOT a chicken tender type. Would have been easily resolved with a simple switch of chicken, but NOPE.. she came with a harsh and condescending words and blame. Absolutely and undeniably inexperienced with serving the general public and being solution orientated. If she had been solution focused, this candid review would never taken place.
My opinion is the "manager" is in a serious need of management training or resolve to getting someone better to run the operation. I've personally worked in hospitality business, as well as managed multiple medical facilities, understood the dynamic of franchises/running an operation, certainly this was far from what is to be expected from a franchise. Definitely, a compromise in...
Read moreI rate this a little bit differently because its a chain. I've ordered food from them a few times, and the closest thing I can compare them to is a KFC. Their food is better than KFC, but not by light years. However, as a fast food chicken place they excel at what they do. Customer service has always been friendly, and the food quality is generally 3-4/5 stars. They are worth the convenience when you need to drop in and pick something up for a family and large crowd. You can do about as well at your local supermarket (and some planning), but they are convenient and friendly.
I would recommend this place for anyone looking to get their fix of comfort foods: chicken, sides, etc., and doesn't want to or doesn't have the time to cook them. Their rolls are good and best served hot, but they do remind me of Pillsbury rolls. My only complaint would be with their Mac and Cheese. It reminds me of an okay Kraft or frozen Mac and Cheese, not great but not bad either. I make my own occasional, and I'm somewhat picky. Their french fries are pretty good, and I was lucky enough to get freshly made ones. As far as their chicken goes, it's fried chicken. I've had amazing fried chicken, and really bad fried chicken. This places is neither. I'd say it's crowd-pleasing fried chicken, not cooked badly but nothing really stands out either. Their mild chicken is exactly what you'd expect, and their spicy, isn't really that spicy (subjective opinion).
As I said, this place is worth keeping in mind if you have a family or small group to feed, or are just in need of a quick chicken fix. You might be able to do better cooking it yourself or going to a sit-down restaurant, but the time and convenience make this...
Read moreI would NEVER go to a Popeyes again!! THE WORST Customer Service I have experienced. Went thru drive thru, was immediately greated by rudeness, asked to pull up to wait 10 MINUTES for my order...to have the same RUDE associate bring out my order of 2 fish and shrimp and say, " I gave you and extra chicken (In one oreder) cause unless you want to wait 5 more minutes for your fish TO BE DROPPED??..... I questioned her at the get go...I didnt want chicken and I paid for fish??? I've already been waiting 10 minutes??? but just went home with my food.......this is what I got home (and I have pics) ..... 2 BIG PIECES OF CHICKEN and an almost unrecognizable piece of fish and VERY LITTLE SHRIMP.....The 2nd dinner had 50% more shrimp and 2 pieces of fish....I went back to speak up. I returned the food and the receipt with the time on it, and was greeted with an even RUDER manager and an associate who started swearing obscenities at me....I was ignored for another 10 minutes while other customers were FORCED to watch (not to mention make immediate judgemento on what might be happening) the drama and the manager rang the register while the original employee took off to nowhere. They eventually gave me my money back. 2 HOURS later, after my fast food ordeal began, I left with no food and hungry....Im just a single mom who works hard with a very tight budget. I was just trying to treat myself to a very small treat on payday in a drive thru.... and it took 2+ hours of my time and I still ended up hungry?????? I WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER POPEYES EVER AGAIN.....AND I'm not quite done with this.....WORST CUSTOMER...
