Carsonia Park Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Lower Alsace Township

We live less than a mile from here and it is a convenient place to go when we do not feel like cooking or traveling. I wish I could say we love this place but we don't. We have been there on multiple occasions now and the only thing that wows me is their beer cheese. That is absolutely delicious as is their soft pretzel basket and their pub fries basket, both come with the beer cheese. However the rest of the menu is lack luster. We have ordered meals, burgers, and sandwiches now and nothing was that good. I find that their portion sizes are too small for the price and the quality. For example we went there last night with a friend and I ordered their Crabby Chicken, sounded really good on the menu, however when it came out I was immediately disappointed because of its size. It came with two chicken breasts that together maybe would have been the size of one and the crab topping was barely there and the dish coast $15. I then attempted to cut the chicken and was not very successful because the it was so dry and tough it was near impossible to cut. it was even more difficult to chew. It took me almost a good 45 seconds to chew the quarter sized piece of chicken. The flavor was good, but quality not so much. We would maybe go back for apps, but not often. Came in for the wings and beer and was not disappointed . We had the parmesean peppercorn and Jackie chan bone in wings. They were hefty with the meat and luscious with the sauce. The Jackie chan wings weren't too spicy at all but they were delicious. The sweet potato fries came with Carmel sauce on the side- and let me tell you, I will never have Sweet potato fries the same again. Just when you thought these type of fries cannot get any better, it does! The prices were fair - twenty wings for about 25 bux fries for a 5 spot. My son had the steakhouse mac and cheese , it looked great on his plate- a favorable portion but not my thing. The staff was polite, friendly, and responsive. Bathrooms were clean and the place fills up. We were able to beat the rush as it was Hella crowded on the way out. Oh and Tuesdays Labatt drafts are 2 bucks, I only had one today...

Over priced bar food. I struggle with the menu. Ordered filet medallions, medium rare, for $22.99 because even the sandwiches were close to $20. Came with 2 sides, i asked for a salad was told it was an additional $5. Not spending close to $30 in a sports bar. Got broccoli and mashed potatoes. Food came out, it was immediately obvious that the 3, very small pieces of steak, were overdone. Completely dried out, had a hard time cutting. Mashed potatoes looked very unappealing. Broccoli appeared fresh but had a weird taste. Not sure what spice they add to it. Sent it back, about 15 minutes later I got another plate. All I will say is it was better than the first. The steak was still overcooked but it was edible. Crazy amount of money compared to other restaurants...
