I drive by Mr. Lee’s quite often. Today last minute decided to get some take out. I was promptly greeting by the nicest lady behind the counter and she quickly took my order. I didn’t have to wait very long for my lunch special Pepper Steak & Onion (my default order). The food was excellent, tasty and boy do you get a lot for lunch! I have reviewed my fair share of Chinese takeout and consider myself pretty good at making and eating Chinese food. (Take a look at my reviews :) ) Definitely will be back to try some of my other favorite dishes.

The beef with broccoli was amazing. For context, there's a place in Delaware that I would go out of my way for to get their beef with broccoli cuz it was the best I ever had, and this place is just as good. The rest of the meal was fine, we got meat dumplings that were decent enough, and the chicken mei fun was pretty bland, but man. The beef with broccoli. This place is a half hour drive for me and that alone makes it worth the trip

I went there and got general tsos chicken, took it home, and when i took a bite it was raw, then every other piece was raw, when i went back to request a refund, they refused and insisted i took more general tsos and that they would “make it right” this time, it was raw AGAIN. and they still refused to give me a full refund.

Put aside any hesitation over small town, small Asian places. Lee's was already good prior to recent (2023) change in ownership. Good news: It is even better now. Favorites: Any curry shrimp dish (traditional yellow, Thai red or green). Shrimp lo mein. Beef broccoli. Shrimp broccoli. Hot and Sour soup (amazing). Basil scallops. Chicken broccoli. Beef lo mein. Many great entrees. Shrimp dishes outstanding! The shrimp are quite large (!!). Had green curry shrimp today -- definitely improved from a year or two ago (when it was already quite good). Better tasting sauce, better veggies. My overall rating 4.7. Update 7-27-24: Recently had red curry beef. Red curry is likewise improved under new owners. They use LITTLE IF ANY "filler" -- i.e. bamboo shoot, water chestnut and baby corn (unlike prior ownership). This is a BIG POSITIVE. I feel that the wonton soup is likewise improved, though it was already fairly good under prior ownership. The hot-n-sour soup is really perfect -- something I would not ordinarily order at most Asian fusion places, but here it's sensational. No...

Mr. Lee's has always been delicious! They totally missed the mark on everything we ordered tonight. The crispy shredded beef was mush and we couldn't find meat in the fried mush... the potstickers were tasteless... the spareribs dry... What a disappointment!

Follow up to my review: Mr. Lee's is under new ownership. The new owner reached out to me to discuss our disappointment in the meals we purchased. She had them recooked for us today. They tasted better than Friday. However, it does seem as though they are using a new recipe for the crispy shredded beef. While it was better than Friday, it wasn't the same as we have ordered before the new ownership took over. We will give definitely give Mr. Lee's another try but order...
