Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard — Restaurant in Lower Frederick

I love Rita's, however it is very expensive. Therefore you expect quality when you visit. I recently went to the Zieglerville Rita's. Two very nice young ladies took my order. They, unfortunately, were not properly trained. They made numerous mistakes with our order. We were able to catch the mistakes before our order was handed to us. The the reason for the low score is because when the bag of hot fudge needed to be replaced, they had no idea how to do it. Therefore, my hot fudge sundae had a glob applied (they actually asked me if it was OK to not put any on), and my wife's "cement" had leftover from the remnants. I reached out to the store and "Tina Slack, Store Manager" emailed me informing me they will "review training". It seems to me the store manager needs more training as well. I've been going to a Rita's water ice for over 25 years. The website has a wonderful feature that notifies you when a favorite flavors are available, only if the owner who runs it wasn't too lazy to update the website daily. So when you do go it's like going to a casino, sometimes your flavors are available and sometimes you just leave angry over your wasted time. Some days I feel like they would rather be an ice cream shop, cause who honestly is hoping for chocolate peanut butter water ice? It used to be simple flavors with real fruit pieces, now it's sour patch kids cherry and Swedish fish cherry and any other horrendous idea somebody at corporate thinks is a good flavor. I called the zieglerville location at 6:24pm on March 3 super excited that they were open again. I asked if they had chocolate water ice on the menu as well as what time they were open until. I was told yes, that had chocolate and they were open until 9pm. I brought my entire family, parents, husband and we show up at 8:15 to a locked door and employees inside cleaning up. After knocking (confused why we couldn’t get in) the employee told me they close at 8?? I was like how is that possible I JUST called and was told 9?
