I have been a customer at sweet green for over three years. I go to school nearby and always used to get salad from there. Recently, however, I have not been pleased. The past two times I have been there I have received AWFUL customer service. The first time, I was there ordering 3 salads which I have done plenty of times. The girl proceeded to give me attitude and tell me that next time for big orders I should have ordered via app so she could have more time to prepare them. This would have been totally fine, but you don't reprimand the customer while they're there and giving your business money, when no other customer was even in store except me. She then proceeded to give me even more attitude AND rolled her eyes as I was ordering and threw my salad to the guy at the register who was even embarrassed about her behavior. That is such an embarrassment to the business to treat customers like this. Today when I visited the store, I had the same guy who rang me up at the register the last time. He saw there were customers waiting and proceeded to continue whatever he was doing and had us waiting. He finally finished and came to help us; afterwards, when we were at the register, he rang me up and then rang my friend up. As my friend was told the total, she went to find her credit card, which the guy then turns around and goes "man you could have had your credit card out I was busting trying to get your salads done fast you could've been ready.." I'm sorry but who talks to customers like that?! He tried to make a joke of the situation but it was not funny. My friend and I had no idea what to say and he continued with "wow you don't even know where it is looking all over the place for it" I gave sweet green one more chance and they blew it. I would literally get 2 salads at a time when I would go because I loved this place, but i won't be continuing my business there because the customer service is just not worth going through. It's such a shame that such a good place is ruined by employees with awful attitudes and...
Read moreI used to be a regular-goer and I always genuinely enjoyed their food—never had any real issues. However, their business strategy to promote “environmental friendless” by refusing to accept cash is both ridiculous in its principle (cash is made from primarily a cloth-like material and credit cards are made of polyvinyl plastic...) and inconvenient to the customer. This in of itself would have resulted in a three or MAYBE four star review. But recently they have consistently had “technical difficulties” and made absolutely no effort to publicize it. Twice I spent money on uber to eat there and was turned away. TWICE. The second time was ridiculous—they had just closed, but there were customers eating in the store and the store was still set up to serve. One nice employee asked the manager if they could still serve us, but I heard the manager shout “no!” from the back room and the employees rudely relayed that message. Very unpleasant, very unfortunate experience. Sweetgreens leadership needs...
Read moreI had two professional squash players staying with me between tournaments. They went to the Sweetgreen in Ardmore, shared two salads and four hours later were so sick. After throwing up for 12 hours straight, and spending the following day in bed, they recovered. Trying to get in touch with someone who actually cares is impossible. Texting to tell someone that they have some contaminated food just doesn't seem appropriate. When I went into the store, the manager said, Miss I'm sorry but that was about the extent of it. The text asked for the credit card to refund the purchase price but they never did that either. Why ask if you are unwilling to refund their money. They are off to play the World Championship tournament in Chicago and I worry that due to this unfortunate event, their tournament will be greatly compromised. These two players are from Egypt and Switzerland. What a terrible test to leave in their mouths. It is sad that this company cares so little about...
