100000000% recommended! If you are ever in Evansburg, PA. Or just driving through Pennsylvania like we did, this is a must stop location. We were a walk in, but I believe that is based on their availability. Everything was so reasonably priced, staff were all so lovely & knowledgeable. The atmosphere was incredible! I've always only liked sweet wines, once I tried their Dream 2024 (dry) I was taken aback by how delicious it was! After discussing this with Jenn, she recommended Breeze 2024 (dry). It has peach forward notes & we definitely ended up purchasing a bottle to take home. 2nd bottle was the blueberry also so delicious. I believe that was the second sweetest wine they offered on the flight list. Now the food.. We had the baba ganush, charcuterie board & the harvest soup. OH MY. Chefs kiss. Have I ever liked brie? no. Did I love their brie? YES! The manchego, asiago, figs, grapes, pita bread. It all paired so well with one another. You know that one scene in Ratatouille? When Remey is trying the strawberry cheese together? Thats what this entire experience felt like. Literally everything about this place is amazing. The harvest soup had a festive design of a spiderweb for a creme topping as well. Let me tell you something, if I could have a beer drinking hat filled with the harvest soup I would. 10/10 no complaints. If we weren't already married & from Maine I would want to be married here. There were two other ladies, I did not catch our hosts name as I was distracted by the beauty of it all. The last lady even made recommendations along our route. Thank you to the ladies we saw, thank you to the others we didn't see behind the scenes. Your hard work and passion made our first stop one to remember. ♡ Looking forward to...
Read more*I am writing this review as someone that cannot have gluten
The wine here- phenomenal. Nice and crisp, refreshing, not overly tannin-y. The service - wonderful. Severs are very attentive and kind. Dogs - super cute. I brought my service dog with me and she was offered a bowl of water and the servers left her alone which I really appreciated. The food - here is where the one star comes off - the pizza looked so good and smelled so delicious.. unfortunately I cannot have gluten, so my group was kind enough to order the GF pizza so we could all share it. We wanted the smoked cheese pizza, but were told we could only order the margarita pizza. I have been to many places that use a GF crust and make the pizza.. so I was expecting something like that. However, what we got was a frozen gf pizza with the weird little pieces of square cheese that frozen pizza's tend to have. It wasn't baked enough and although the crust had a bit of a crisp to it, the inside was not done and was rather soggy to add to the tasteless cheese. Super disappointing especially since my friends who could have had the delicious looking/smelling pizza had to eat this cardboard with me. Now they were kind when I went in to discuss it with them and suggested I contact them through email. My biggest suggestion would be to ditch the premade tasteless pizza and opt for a crust that you can still keep frozen, but you can add your own sauces and toppings. Something like the caulipower crust, or against the grain. You can keep them frozen for as long as you'd like, but it will really amp up your GF menu and make the GF pizza just as tasty as...
Read moreI attended my local town community day a week ago, and noticed this vineyard had a booth setup at the event. I didn’t stop by, however I was reminded of a rather unpleasant experience when I visited their actual location in Collegeville earlier in the summer. I went there with my sister as we thought it would be a good place to catch up. We were quickly impressed with the facility grounds and the nice variety of seating arrangements. We were not impressed by the attitude of one of the staff. We had been standing inside the building where there were several tables and also a bar area with seats. As we were talking and observing the wine production area, we suddenly heard one of the staff shout “Can you move?? We have people walking through this area” as she pointed at a double-door entrance which lead to an outdoor seating area. Not even a “please”. Shocked at the tone of her voice, we did move…however it did pretty much ruin the visit. For a member of the staff (who I later confirmed was named Pamela), to bark at paying guests for no good reason like this is inexcusable. Not sure why we even stayed after that. The wine was fine (I'm not an expert), and the location itself was very pleasant. But Ill never go back. Customer service skills matter, and if this person is considered essential staff, then I would not have her in a customer-facing role if I...
