Bubba's Steaks and Shakes - Harleysville — Restaurant in Lower Salford Township

Called in for takeout in on night number 2 of Opening Week. Very cordial on the phone, order placed with a 30 minute estimate for pick-up. I’m very local, so interested in how things go because we can always use more quality options. It was expectedly crowded when I got there. Another patron and I agreed the quality of the food determines the length of time you’re willing to wait to get it. 30 minutes turned out to be 45 but no biggie. Got my order, 4 different sandwiches, a couple sides of onion rings and two shakes. Beware, chincy shake carrier - but awesome shakes!! Onion rings were good, steaks were really good as well. Sadly, many of the add-ons (hot peppers, tomato, lettuce) never made it onto a couple of the sandwiches. The receipt shows the order was right, just the sandwiches weren’t. I’ll chalk that up to start-up issues, and I’ll try again because what we did get was good.

Returned tonight. We’ll give some time in hopes you work out the kinks. The order process was seamless and food was ready when promised. Order on the left. Sandwich on the right. On your online app, I pressed each individual item on the sandwich and purposely excluded the raw onions tab. My wife has a raw onion allergy. Oh my goodness here we go. We got a new place in harleysville. I am too excited for real for real but I just stopped and got chicken fingers and cheese fries well cheese waffles. Listen. Oh I'm telling y'all right now go to bubba's you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to go back and get some wings. I am so excited everything made fresh as ordered. Y'all have no idea how much we needed y'all. Thank you! Thank you! I don't want you to mistake the picture I had to take some of the it was a lot of waffle fries so there's only a little bit in the picture. But I have a lot more to eat. I got wings the other day from bubba's steaks and shakes. Needless to say, oh my God. Yes they are a must. Okay so I went back today and I got more listen. I like my wings dry but you know then I do ranch when I come home. Whatever this is my preference. They do many different sauces but the thing I think I like most is it's made fresh and it's cooked perfect. Thank you bubba steaks and shakes. I finally got around to trying this place out since they opened. Hard to find a decent cheesesteak in the immediate area, so I was really hopeful Bubba's would change that.

I placed my order online, pricing is higher than what you'd pay at any pizza place around here for a cheesesteak but on par for the prices you'd pay at places like Goomba's, Italian Delite Trappe, or even Verona Pizza in Maple Glen. The difference is that those places give you a pound of steak for ~$16, here it does run about $22. The quality of the steak here was not great, not terrible. There were some parts that were chewy, which I've never had at one of the three places I named above. I also consider those places the benchmark for the area. That being said, I got my cheesesteak exactly as I had requested, and aside from the steak quality, it was good. Solid Liscio's non-seeded roll.

For me, I might come try it again in the future to see if the steak quality improves, but I don't eat cheesesteaks often, so I think I would just drive the little bit to get one of those three others I listed...
