Village Pantry — Restaurant in Lower Southampton Township

I just became a customer of Village. First I tried the cranberry and nut chicken salad that came highly recommended by my co worker and man o man was I hooked after one sandwich! Yesterday I ordered the traditional party tray for a baby shower at work and was really impressed by the display, quality and taste! The meats and cheeses were fantastic and the bread and rolls fresh and tasty. The tray was demolished quickly! The tray included salads and the rolls/ bread for an unbeatable price. Extremely reasonable pricing especially for the quality!! Loved it and will order more trays to satisfy my party needs! Not only was the was food amazing the pantry offers a wide variety of other products. I was in need of chips and drinks to go with the tray and they had a great selection! I visit the Village Pantry probably at least 3 or 4 days a week. Every time Angelica and her staff are as friendly and welcoming as could be asked.

Most recently I had the most delicious ham and cheese hoagie. The bread was perfectly fresh, the ham was sliced just right, and the cheese paired beautifully. The combination of flavors was spot on, and the hoagie was generously packed. Match that sandwich up with a bag of chips, a drink, and the experience is even better!

I used to really enjoy this deli, but recently when I stopped in food handling procedures were less than appealing. Some things I witnessed were the phone being answered while preparing food with no hand washing afterwards. Same with handling money and the cash register. There was also a young girl who cleaned the glass deli display, did not wash her hands, and went right back to making sandwiches. She wore one glove only and on the other hand had a fabric bandaid that was falling apart. Super gross. Hand washing procedures need to be...
