Fireside Inn — Restaurant in Lower Southampton Township

I went with a couple friends, the small bar wasn’t even full and the 2 bartenders seemed like they just couldn’t handle it. We moved to a table in the other room and the server got one of us a drink and then sat at a table with 2 other servers counting their tips and never came back. Then I go to get my own drinks from the almost empty bar and realize the bartenders are too busy in conversations to even get me a drink after waiting about 8-10 minutes with nobody ahead of me, I just left. Also still tipped well on my couple drinks, because my wife is an actual great bartender and server.

Answer to your response: I did give you an exact time and date, when you contacted me on messenger. You don’t have to respond and act like I’m a liar, you’re just not willing to address the issue. Your staff is embarrassing and should have never put you in that situation. That was a rare night that I was even able to get out with good friends and your staff treated us so ignorantly.

Have visited twice. Prices are reasonable. So, I wish I could give more than 3 stars but the food doesn’t warrant it.

First time we sat at the bar and the bartender (Erica) was great. Second time we sat at a table and service was very, very slow.

They had live music both times. Found out that can be good and bad. When the performer is good like at our first time (LJ Hall) then it’s very good but when the performers are bad and too loud like last night it would have been better with just have the Touch Tunes juke box running.

Now for the food - First time (late Saturday afternoon) we had mussels as an app and ordered a full rack of ribs to split. Mussels were just ok. They were salty. Several were not open and two had cracked shells. About 15 mins later we were told that ribs would take another 2 hours to finish. So we switched to brisket tacos. Again, just OK.

Second time we went (Early Saturday evening) we sat at a table. We split the Pork Roll and Pirogies as an app. Best thing on the menu so far. Also had the scallops in Bronze sauce. Just ok - very, very salty. Ordered a burger cooked medium and a rack of ribs. Both were over done. I think ribs were from the previous week.

Fireside Smokehouse is one of the best neighborhood spots around, no question. It’s always been our go-to, and it just keeps getting better. The bang bang shrimp is absolute perfection! And the clams casino? That’s an old-school classic from the former owner who passed away, and we’re so glad they’ve kept it going. It’s a must-order every time.

What really sets Fireside apart is how they manage to be both a laid-back bar and a true family-friendly place. They’ve always welcomed our kids, and they even host awesome holiday events like Halloween trunk-or-treat, breakfast with the Easter Bunny, and visits with Santa. That kind of community spirit is rare.

Whether you're coming in with the family for dinner or meeting up for drinks and a night out, the vibe is always right. Friendly, familiar, and fun. The regulars treat you like family, and the staffs amazing. The waitresses are fast, super friendly, and usually have my drink in front of me before I even ask.
