Read moreHaving been born and raised in Texas as well as living or visiting in Colorado, New Mexico and California, THIS PLACE is easily THE BEST on the East Coast...maybe even the entire US. No joking- try the Sopes, Burritos, Chimichangas, Pueblo Nachos (Al Pastor is AMAZING!), Tortas or Chilaquile with Chorizo- it's ALL EXCEPTIONAL- fresh ingredients, made from scratch, good portions and GREAT PRICES...never a bad meal. I am a hard-core "Foodie" and regularly enjoy inviting other Foodies from out of town to El Pueblo Taqueria...and watching them get BLOWN AWAY...time and time again!! Lengua can be difficult to "get right"- I've had the BEST I've ever had...right here in N. Cape May. CRAZY!! Reuben, his wife and Mother (and Gi, his brother too) are friendly and enthusiastic about keeping the quality...and they do it WELL!! I would easily drive 40+ minutes here just to get my "fix"...but I live in the Crest and don't have to! ;) Great people, great prices and great food- Try the...
First time eating here because the menu was in the home we were visiting......maybe I shouldn't recommend it because the wait to pick up food was over an hour.....seems like everyone around knows how rocking it is. Do they need more business? They deserve tons of business because the food was excellent, the value was fantastic. Worth the wait. We Tried: Al Pastore tacos and they nailed the flavors, perfect mix of pineapple pieces in the pork. Chorizo tacos were amazing, spicy and salty and tons of flavor. Carnitas tacos, or course they were excellent. Ground beef: didn't try them, but apparently they were good. Nachos with carnitas: tons of flavors, crunchy homemade chips, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, melted cheese, pickled jalapeno....mmmm. Homemade guacamole was perfect, tons of great flavor. Definitely nice to have another solid place to eat...
Read moreBest mexican restaurant in Cape May county. Possibly one of the best restaurants regardless of cuisine. I can't count the times that I've eaten here with friends and family and never have I, or anyone else I've been here with, had a bad experience. On the contrary. I will try a new dish every time and I always tell myself that all of their dishes can't be all good but they are. Steak burritos, Al Pastor rice bowl, Chicken Sopes, Tacos Campeche, you get the point. Family owned with great customer service. If I had to say something bad about this restaurant it's that I remember going when they first open and now word has spread FAST. It's no longer a hidden gem. Everyone and their mothers know of El Pueblo and I now have to share my favorite restaurant with half of...
