I was unsure how this Roman's would be as the reviews were sort of mixed but I wanted something quick and easy and Roman's was one of the open restaurants on a Sunday evening. The place is very large and the decor is definitely dated. Not many were dining in but we noticed they were getting a lot of phone calls for takeout/delivery. Outside, they had these really cute swing tables with cushioned benches but I noticed the cushions were kind of in bad shape and I would not want to sit on them unless they were cleaned/repaired. We decided on a vegan vegetable pie (for my brother), a grandma Sicilian pie and a salad to go. I did appreciate that they had decent salad offerings in comparison to some of the other local pizza shops (which is another reason why I landed at Roman's). We got our pies and took our food to the beach to eat and watch the sunset. Now here is where they earned their four stars. The pizza came out and it smelled AMAZING. It smelled like fresh ingredients such as fresh garlic. We were super excited to try it. When got to the beach (about 10-15 after we picked it up) we dove into our pie and it was soooo good. The pizza was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle - which I liked! The ingredients were tasty and overall it was an excellent pizza. Even as the pie got cold, we were impressed that the pizza stayed crispy and still very enjoyable (unlike some pizza I refuse to eat cold). The salad was quite good considering the $9 price point. We ordered a chef salad and they were generous with the toppings. I enjoyed it very much! Roman's was a surprisingly pleasant experience and I'd definitely recommend ordering pizza from here again!

I've been in Cape May for over 10yrs and I'm always looking for a new spot to try, especially ones with good reviews..I gave Romans a shot, I had a slice of what I would call Sicilian Cheese steak and a plain slice. The service was great, they were very nice and helpful, the cheese steak slice was very good, I would probably get it again, the plain slice?...well that was a different story.. not only was it what I would consider a lower level slice and it tasted burnt from what seemed like a coal oven which I'm sure it wasn't, also it looked like it was sitting there for hours..overall I feel like I would go back and probably try some of their other food and maybe give the plain slice another chance from a fresh pie

This was our first time dining at Roman's, and we were impressed. We were seated immediately, and our orders were taken promptly. My wife likes her wings well done, and she wasn't disappointed. She said they were just like she liked them. We would highly recommend eating here for dinner, which is why we were there. Their menu has a wide scope of not just pizza and wings. They have wraps, salads, strombolis, burgers, and more. You won't be disappointed either!

Was really hoping to like this place. We went Saturday night around 8:15 pm. Wasn't too busy when we got there. Waitress was very nice kinda felt bad for her since she was the only one on the floor and was running around like crazy. Ordered a large pie 1/2 pepperoni, wings (asked for them to be cooked well done), and an order of fries, food came out really quick. Really disappointed, the pizza was not cooked long enough, sauce was very watery, crust soggy, so everything just fell off the pizza. The wings that I asked to be cooked well done weren't they were also soggy not crisp. I was waiting for the waitress to come back to ask her if they could cook it a little more, but she wasn't anywhere to be found. We also weren't able to get a refill on our drinks since we didn't see her. Like I said, she was really doing everything in there, and I did feel bad for her. When she did come back to ask how everything was, I did tell her about the pizza and wings she said, "I'm sorry." Not sure of it was an off night or they were rushing everything because they were closing at 9:00 p.m. very...

First and foremost, the staff was very polite. After I placed my order, the waitress read back my order. She said, "Philly cheesesteak, and a pizza steak." Internal warning bells started ringing in my head. I get my order home. They were in a clear plastic container that you would get a cold cut sandwich in a hospital vending machine. So, there is no heat retention at all. Next, my pizza steak. Had hardly any cheese on it at all and was just white American cheese. Looked like one piece cut in half and semi melted on top. No sauce is visible. Now, let's address the quantity or lack of meat and the size. The quality was tender, but very little. There were more pepperoni and mushrooms than steak meat in. The roll was not even filled halfway up and was probably under 10 inches long. Also, the side of cheese for the fries was not even filled halfway. I'm very disappointed with what I received. Luke warm food, barely any meat, and overpriced for what you get. I would not recommend...
