This is the first time I have ever shared a bad review for any business, but I feel I have been wronged here and could think of no other recourse. Nothing Bundt Cakes are the best tasting dessert around and I love to give the cakes and minis to friends, family, and co-workers for birthdays and special occasions. Unfortunately, today my husband will not be getting his dozen for his birthday. My car is in the shop so I decided to have something special delivered to him. I placed an online order with Nothing Bundt Cakes around 9am and selected delivery. The delivery times were between noon and 5pm, but my husband was only going to be available to receive the delivery until 1pm. I checked the website and saw it said store pick-up was available, so I changed it to that before placing the order. I also put a message in the instruction notes section that said I was having a third party delivery service pick them up. (Again my car is in the shop). After placing the order, I tried to schedule the pick up. I tried to schedule it through GrubHub, Uber Eats, Favor, and Door Dash. All of them said Nothing Bundt Cakes did not allow them to pick up. So I called Nothing Bundt Cakes to see if they could make an exception and let one of them pick up or if they could deliver them by 1pm. The first time I called I sat on hold almost 10 minutes. I finally hung up and called again. This time someone answered my call much faster. The young lady was polite, but informed me they do indeed not allow any of the third party delivery services to pick up. I explained my situation and asked if there were any options. She said they could hold the order for up to three days for me to pick up. I told her my husbands birthday was today so three days from now was not an option. I then said I guess I would just need a refund (which made me sad because we really do love these cakes). She said I could not get a refund because they had already made the order. I told her I put the instructions on the order saying a service would pick up and if they didn’t allow that they should’ve called or emailed me before making the order. She put me on hold for a couple of minutes and came back with the same answer of no refund and they would hold the order for a few days. I again, calmly and politely, said that didn’t really work for me because my husbands birthday was today and reminded her of my instructions on the order and the fact that their website says nothing about restrictions for delivery services. She put me on hold again. After waiting on the phone for nearly 15 minutes for someone to pick up again, I hung up. I have been a manager in sales and in retail before and I can tell you, I would’ve viewed this as the fault of my business for not letting the customer know they couldn’t have a third party service pick up the order, prior to making it, and I would’ve issued a refund. I would strongly encourage them to put a statement about the restrictions for delivery services on their website and also implement some better training for employees taking online orders. Sadly, as much as I love these little cakes, I won’t be...
Read moreWe went October 2, 2024 Highly disappointed! The bundtlets are not bundt cakes at all. They are regular cakes, with regular buttercream frosting. The vanilla doesn't even taste like vanilla, the Snickerdoodle tasted like straight cinnamon and the frosting tastes like candle wax. it was not the normal Nothin Bundt Cakes frosting! When I saw the vanilla cakes, I noticed they looked different than what I've seen in other places, but I didn't think anything of it, until I took a bite. It looked different, because it was different. When my sister and niece tasted the vanilla cake and told me it was disgusting, I didn't believe them, because I've had it many many times(from other stores)... But I tasted it and they were right! Idk if this was just a day where they didn't make the bundtlets, actual bundt cakes, or if this is an every day occurrence. Either way, it was a waste of money(We bought 7 bundlets). Now I will have to bring my family some bundtlets from the city I live in, so they can get the real experience of Nothin Bundt Cakes because this was definitely not it. I thought with a franchise, the recipes and things had to stay the same in all stores, but apparently not. Even the little blue bags that they sell for $1, are bags that other Nothin Bundt Cakes use to give you your bundlets in when you purchase them lol. The only reason I didn't give it a 1, is because the place was cute and the...
Read moreI'm not a fan of cream cheese so I don't normally shop here. However, a friend was having a birthday and she enjoys them so I ordered online (that was super easy). I was running late for the pick up and got there at 6:01 after they closed at 6:00. Of course I was blocked in so I had to wait to leave and saw the staff start cleaning so I went to knock on the door. My order was already paid for and prepared...I was completely ignored! I wasn't expecting to be let in after close but how hard would it have been to say "I'm sorry we are closed, here's a menu, please come back." The person sweeping clearly motioned to me at her boss but was told to ignore me.
I called (still blocked in) to leave a message to cancel my order out of frustration and it was answered. I was told "You will need to call back tomorrow because we are closed" to which I responded that I knew that because I've been blocked in sitting out front for 11 minutes since 6:01. He decided to let me pick up my order but I won't be going back even...
