Tasty's — Restaurant in Lufkin

We decided to give this little place a try today. We are "out of towners" but saw they had great reviews. They definitely did not disappoint! My husband and I ordered 2 dishes to share. One was the fried fish It came with SEVEN pieces of fried catfish (there might have actually been more) and 2 sides (we got fries and dirty rice) and a roll. I forgot the name of the other dish, but it was something like Savvy Potatoes with sauteed shrimp and sausage, topped with bacon and Parmesan cheese. Everything was super delicious!! And the tartar sauce was the best we have ever had. It was almost like a mix between tartar sauce and aioli. Just a note we were there on Sunday evening and there was only the walk up window, no seated dining. We took our order to the nearby zoo and ate in the car by the lake. There was only one young man working there so it was a bit of a wait for the order to be ready, but I felt like that also meant everything was being cooked fresh. It was definitely worth the wait and we will definitely go back...

I normally don’t do 5 ⭐️ reviews because people tend to think it’s over exaggeration, but to not give Tasty’s a 5 would be an understatement. Their wings are phenomenal and for a 10 piece and fry’s with a large drink it’s very much worth the price. I’m not from Lufkin but we tend to work there a few times a year and when I’m in town I go out of my way to make it to Tasty’s before we’re on to the next job. ITS THAT GOOD!!!! First time to try Tasty's.

I ordered chicken tenders, Cindi ordered the mango hibernero wings. The tenders were very well seasoned and juicy. The wings were very tasty and moist on the inside.

The fries and teas are pretty special too!

We finished it all off with a slice of Carmel pecan cheese cake to take home. Note: It did not make it home. So good!

We really enjoyed meeting Lesley and Chef Nick! They made us feel right at home.
