This is just for the cafe portion that opened a month before the restaurant: I tried the self ordering kiosk and it was surprisingly thorough and intuitive. Unlike the ones at fast food places, it doesn't feel like a tablet hooked up to a bigger screen. I ordered a sugar free pineapple slush boba and the machine had all the alternative options I could think to want. Not the best boba I've had in town, but probably second in the area. Next time I'll try half sweetened. Pricing on it is a bit high. Boba is always pricey but I am thrifty and I can't spend $ 6-7 on a drink with any regularity. Tried multiple mochi doughnuts flavors. I enjoyed the ones I tried and I got unconventional ones for my brother (matcha and sesame) and he liked both. These are also pricey but not too bad. The staff was two people and both were very cheerful, friendly and helpful. It was a nice stop. Similar to shakes at Masons tho, it will have to be infrequent visits to save my wallet and waistline. Additionally, the current space for it is quite small. It would be crowded with about 6 people. Parking isn't great at the moment and I think it will be nicer when the other portion finishes construction.
Update: We went and ate at the restaurant portion when it finished. My mother is from Seoul Korea. She was quite disappointed. She asked the waitress about a menu item, it was named after the cold beef stew popular in Korea. She asked the waitress if that's what it was and was told yes. When it arrived, it wasn't even soup. It was like a salad. So the waitress gave us wrong information. The Korean pancakes were fine, weird that they out bread crumbs on it, and the tteokbokki tasted like tteokbokki. The chicken was a bit lackluster. Overall, my mom is not interested in coming back, but she did like the Japchae, so we will be ordering that from time to time. Would've been nice to have a go-to Korean place.
4/19/25 Update: The online ordering is just broken. They say it should be temporary. Staff was still...
Read moreMy husband and I had dinner here last night and it was fantastic! We’ve done Japanese BBQ and wanted to try this place out too. The only Korean food we have had before this was kimchi from the grocery store. Let me tell you, if you order from the grill combo, be prepared for a ton of food. We ordered the pork combo. Our server brought out the sides first. They look small, but don’t let that deceive you. And don’t fill up on them quickly. They can be refilled and we did get refills of the two different kimchi. One was cucumber and the other was a rice one I think. The potatoes were delicious too. I could have eaten just those and left happy. Anyway, after the sides and our dipping sauces were brought out, our pork tray came. It was a really good amount. Jowels, pork belly, two types of a pork chops. Then! We were brought out a tofu and cucumber soup in a steaming cauldron. Again, delicious. And then our eggs came out with a salad. I think the eggs are steamed? They were super light and fluffy. Between the two of us, we finished almost everything. It was a struggle at the end because we were full but the food was so good. I also really like how a water pitcher was left at our table so we could refill our cups at our leisure. We were sat right across from the big tv showing kpop videos and I got to use my knowledge on my husband. Our server was wonderful. He explained how everything worked and what to cook on the grill first. The prices are expensive, but you’re paying for an experience and food that isn’t really norm here. We want to try other dishes so we will...
Read moreI was so stoked for this place to open! Korean is my absolute favorite. I gotta say I was severely let down. What bothers me the most is that I spent A LOT of money here. We basically sampled liked half the menu. I was missing food and no one seemed to care. 6 of my dumplings were missing and so was some of my banchan. It's like they picked and chose what to give me. I called multiple times because it was a pickup order. No one helped me so I finally left a message with my name and phone number letting them know I was missing food. No one bothered to call me back. It's been literal weeks.
As far as food, I did enjoy the kimbap. I also very much enjoyed the mozzarella corn dog. The spicy pork and dumplings that we weren't missing were decent as well. However, the egg rolls were not good at all. They were puffy and soft and it was a weird experience. The bulgogi was bland and tasteless. I got it for my bf and he said it had no flavor. The seafood pancake was good dipped in the sauce but I had to put it in the air fryer in pieces because it wasn't cooked all the way and was super mushy and wet in the middle. Also, the Korean chicken is waaaaay overpriced! The plain chicken was good but the sauced one was so wet and soft it didn't taste like fried chicken at all. All in all, it was not a positive experience, especially since they don't communicate well. I spent way too much money here to neither be refunded for my missing food, not have...
