Wednesday, June 8, 2022 Last customer of the day and came in before 8:30 pm so still over an hour left before closing so me and my party of 4. Male and 3 female. First time trying Indian food but when it’s time to go and leave. We asked for 2 more to go boxes. The older lady who refills the water was rude to my female party and denied giving us 2 more to go boxes. Arguing with the females saying food is food. That’s not our concern or our problems. We do not live together after we leave so we can’t share our leftovers. No, we have our own separate lives so 4 to go boxes seems reasonable when 1 person would like to have their own food to go because no one finish their own food. Trying to argue with us and just making everyone feel so uncomfortable. Still left a great tip but the experience would have been a perfect one until the older lady ruined the moment and made everyone feel so uncomfortable and just frustrated. Now none of us can return to that place because of how she made everyone feel. Want to come back because it’s the first time we had Indian food now if I ever want Indian food I have to go somewhere else now and that’s such a shame because the experience was fine until the older lady ruined it by being rude and arguing with the females of my party. Thanks for giving us 2 Togo boxes though. But they’re not nice enough to let anyone over 2 people have their own Togo boxes. She argued with us that times are expensive now. Such a terrible excuse. I get you don’t have to give us Togo boxes. But no need to be rude and argue about it. For real that is just uncalled for and ruined a good experience. I really hope you see this and learn from this experience and not be rude to people who are giving you business but I’m sure you’re happy you’re not getting business from me anymore because I’m taking my business elsewhere. Thanks for okay food but no thanks to the rude experience from that older lady who refills water. Learn some manners but even if you learn it and regret it. I can’t take back the feeling you gave everyone so I hope this long review that no one is going to read but maybe that older lady might read… I hope you can find me one day to make amends. Because I believe in that and now that I put it out there into the world it’s gonna manifest and hopefully happen one day. But until then. Learn some manners, lady. One star for the terrible rude experience that older lady gave us. Wish I could stick the middle finger and tell you how I felt in person but I think seeing my disappointment in my wife’s face and other females face when this all happen was enough for me to realize I can never come back here now because of that rude experience. Thanks for that too I guess. But seriously. One star for bad experience at the end. So disappointed shake...
Read moreWe stopped by for dinner last night and had two appetizers and three meals. Everything was “good“. My husband and I ordered our dishes, “medium”, and our daughter ordered hers mild. Not one of the dishes had ANY semblance of spice in it. So mild you could feed it to a toddler and they’d love it. In every Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to, including the Milan Indian cuisine in Charlottesville, And mini all over the country, if you order it “medium” it is quite spicy, but not enough to make your eyes water. Our dishes were not even considered mild. They were considered non-spicy/zero spice.
They were flavorful to some degree, but in order for them to be delicious, you would expect some spice. We will definitely go back again because the food quality is great. It’s just there was a complete lack of any spice. We will ask them to please make it actually “medium spice” and see how it goes and I will update my review.
Two of the dishes were served with basmati rice, which was delicious. But they gave us a small rectangle plate with rice on it for two people to share. In the past we have gotten a large amount of rice. Plenty for two people with leftovers to take home with the leftover part of the meal. This was definitely not enough for two people so we asked for the “other rice”. It was obviously missing. 🤣 they brought another rectangle of rice, which was then sufficient for our meals. I feel pretty sure each meal should’ve come with a rectangle plate full of rice, NOT expecting to share between two meals.
The naan and the paratha were delicious, and the appetizers were very good but also no spice. So overall a three star review, but will certainly update it next time and hopes that we have a great quality meal with some...
Read moreThis is the most horrible Indian restaurant, to say the least. I had a bulk order for weekend since we had few guests coming in and I wanted the order around 12 noon. Looking at the food it was an easy guess that it was cooked a day before. It was so saddening when few of the guests mentioned that paneer was tasting foul. The salmon was not even fresh and tasteless. Dal Makhani smelled weird and tasted equally horrible. ALL THE ITEMS WERE COOKED A DAY BEFORE INCLUDING THE RICE WHICH THEY GIVE AS COMPLIMENTARY. Also ,they carelessly missed one of the items from the list and when I called them requesting to deliver, their reply was - We don't deliver at home and you will have to pick up. sorry, its not our mistake. (I mean ohh really, it wasn't your mistake. I was the one at fault to order from your place.) Disgusted by their behaviour, food and service, we couldn't eat most of the tasteless food, I decided to take them back in the evening when the restaurant opens. I complained about the food to the same lady (with grey hair) at the counter who took our order a day before. Here comes the classic reply - Our food quality is very good. I and my husband had the same food in the noon and it was good and we enjoyed. I can't give you any refund. You can take the food back. Never ever in the US or even in India I have come across such rude, shameless and reckless behaviour from any restauranteur. I left my food there and asked them to eat the same food during dinner as well. Never ever I am going to visit here. I wish we had an option to give zero stars on...
