A new african american female manager that was there about 8 months ago or so, has issues assisting me because she didnt know what she was doing another employee had to show her how to ring my meal up how i was telling her i wanted it because the way she was doing it made it more expensive and she lretty much didnt wanna do it, thankfully anotger employee showed her how and i waited forever for to go food. Then got home no whipped cream with any of my pancakes that came with the meal or extra pancakes i ordered so my kids wouldnt even eat them so i wasted money. I called that same manager was rude yet again!!! On the phone she said she could only refund me 2.00!!!! On a almost 50.00 dollar meal!!!!! So i threw away like 8 pancakes the next morning, that i paid for and just decided to never go back again!havent been and def wont ill go to waffle house first. Its not the first time things have been forgotten it seems to be everytime, or something is wrong so... we're good and that manager needs to be more mindful of customers and own their mistakes she kinda argued with me about the situation sayjng she bagged it herself and sure she put the stuff in the bag, which was very untrue since im the one looking into the bag and taking it all out it was not. I didnt wanna spend my time on the phone speaking to someone rude about food i ordered mainly for my kids for lunch so... If shes no longer there i may consider going back but i doubt it because the seats are raggedy and i sank down in a seat anyways, and to go orderes aleays forget something. Read moreThe manager (young gentleman who appears to be of hispanic descent) is an absolutely fantastic manager. He does all the right things. He is courteous, polite, always working hard, and has a servants heart. He should not be working at IHOP. He is the type of manager who should be working at a well respected restaurant that pays well. However, his crew is working at the right place. He appears to be the type of leader who does not discipline or give orders. He seems to be the type of manager who leads by example. Unfortunately, his crew isn’t the type of people who respond well to this type of leadership. This service is immaculately slow. The people other than the manager seem like they should be working at McDonald’s. The manager is made for much better than this. I wish I had gotten his name. FYI, I have been to this location at least 5 times in the past two weeks. I have had plenty of time to form this assessment. The whole crew is always in the back. They come out with food they deliver the food they go straight to the back and stay in the back. Every single time I have come to the restaurant I have had to wait to sit down regardless of how many patrons were already in the restaurant. I went in there once last week went almost the entire restaurant was empty they were mopping a lot of the chairs were up in the middle of the day and I still had to wait roughly 5 minutes for someone to greet me and give me a seat. Read moreMy husband and I went into IHOP at 1 o’clock On Sunday, August 17, 2025. lynchburg Virginia . The hostess was so lacking in Customer Service we almost did not let her seat us. She did not greet us, She took an excessive amount of time puttering around the desk at the front of the store and never even looked at us. Usually if they’re busy I will give them allowance for that if they act rude , But, it was not busy at all we were the only one standing there waiting to be seated . Finally she just walked off And Over her shoulder Muttered follow me. She took us to the back of the restaurant and there was no AC and there were several ladies cleaning the tables and the smell of pneumonia could’ve knocked you down. I did not want to eat my breakfast with the smell of pneumonia and since there are many tables available throughout the restaurant I thought it was no big deal to ask to switch tables. I was told by this host is that the ammonia smell is all over the store sorry. No attempt to help us sit at a different area where the smell may not have been strong, no attempt in anything Customer Service wise- except to just look at us like she was bored. Why do people have jobs like these when they hate them so badly? This is the second IHOP I’ve walked into it and got the same treatment. I do not recommend this IHOP and as a matter of fact I don’t recommend any IHOP after the experiences that I’ve had over the last four months. What a shame.
