Moores Country Store- Graves Mill — Restaurant in Lynchburg

Wife and I stopped here, 5/16/2023 about 4PM, after a day of errands & physical therapy because she LOVES Moores hot dogs. Well, today was NOT the day for that!! I ordered the chicken mini meal(1 PC chicken w/2 sides). Well, chicken was dry as HADES and smelled as though burned or cooked in OLD OIL, brocoli casserole was over cooked and BROWN and fries were edible but over cooked. My wife got 2 hot dogs and 1st: they forgot the chili(what's a Moores hot dog w/out the chili; just another hot dog), 2nd: the wiener was so OLD & DRY that it MUST have been two (2) days old!!!! I'm retired since October 2022 and used to eat lunch here regularly before going to work just down the road and the food was rather good; NOT ANY MORE!!! This was a MAJOR disappointment and WASTE OF TIME!!! PLEASE GET SOME DECENT COOKS AND RESTORE THE MOORES NAME AND...

Since this store was bought out by Heas Energy. The service and food has dropped dramatically. The store is ALWAYS understaffec and the food just sits in the warmer now.

Its so sad. This store when family owened had some of the best fast food and meals around. Now if you find decent food one out of 10 times you are lucky. They have basically kids managing the store now and the customer service is horrible. There are always lines backed up.. as i said earlier, so sad. This was my go to store for years. I live less than a mile away. After walking in at lunch today, not even getting to order after 15 minutes i put my drink back in the cooler and walked out. Probably my last time there except to buy gas. Cooperate america ruins another great family...

Moores has always been a fixture in our community for as long as I can remember and then some. They have more than this one location but in my opinion, the one that's here on Graves Mill Road is the beat of all of them. You can tell they spent the money to make the store right and that they didn't just through up a franchise to solely make money. Their kitchen is state of the art, very nice, large building and plenty of friendly staff. I will continue going there until something horrible takes it away from me. Do yourself a favor and go by there asap to try their delicious foods and pick up anything else youd find at a convenience store, including gas! You'll love...
