The first time i ever had Haitian food was in Cap-Haïtien many years ago. My first taste made me a life-long fan but finding good Haitian food in Massachusetts is at times challenging especially on the North Shore. I had a lunch meeting scheduled for Lynn and had heard of Sunset Caribbean and so decided to try it. OMG was I not disappointed!!! I had Kabrit with rice and it was AMAZING!!!! The sauce on the rice was pure heaven and the pikliz made me feel perfect even after I had eaten waaaay more than i usually do for lunch. I can't wait to go back and bring my whole family ...even if I might have to have to fight my kids to be sure they'll let me have any of the plantains.... which were pure perfection If you want to eat like you're in Au Cap without having to fly to Haiti or drive south of Boston I can think of no better place to go than Sunset Caribbean

On the outskirts of Downtown Lynn here's a spot that serves tasty authentic Hatian food with good serving sizes. Chicken so good that it slides off the bone! Pikliz was crunchy and a little spicy to add a kick of flavor. Dish served with generous amounts of sauce. Papaya juice was thickened with too much whipped cream, though. You can't go wrong with the bunun peze (pressed fried plaintains). The atmosphere could use some decoration, and better music choice could be switched to Haitian music to celebrate the culture with pride and set the right vibe. It's a small business/family owned restaurant, so I can overlook some issues and hope they improve over time with listening to the constructive feedback. Street parking is available, and the place is easy to find off the street. Service was friendly and the food was great, so a good experience overall. Merci!

The place is ideal for a quick connection to the Haitian culture. I called ahead of time and the food was ready by the time I got there. Mr Leon was really kind and helpful. Food was great and well presented. Will visit again.

I lived in jersey and was looking for a place near Revere, MA to cater some foods for a surprise gathering for my mom birthday and came across this place. My cousin suggested another haitian restaurant in Cambridge but when I read the reviews I was not impressed. I took a leap of faith and another from this place. I ordered griot, turkey, rice and beans, poison, fried plantain and everything were DELICIOUS. The customer service was great, great portion size and reasonable price. I have to say I thought some of price was crazy over the phone, but i went ahead and ordered anyway, and when I picked up the foods I was really satisfied, the trays were actually bigger than I expected and full to the max. The foods were also ready at requested time. I am very happy with place and the suprise gathering was a success because of...
