On my quest to find cheap, delicious and authentic Vietnamese Pho, I stumbled across this small family run Pho restaurant in downtown Lynn. The atmosphere is usually always busy when we come in which makes it promising but there is usually never a wait for a table.
I usually get a regular Pho dish with Tripe, shredded beef and a bunch of assorted vegetables. My first time coming here, i made the poor mistake of putting too much Sriracha in my soup which ruined it for me. The second time i came it was 100% more enjoyable.
I will HIGHLY recommend getting an avocado with your pho as it has dramatically changed my pho experience. HOWEVER, Pho Minh Ky charges 5$ for an additional Hass Avocado so do be prepared to spend more money in that case. In terms of pricing for pho, it is very cheap. A small bowl is about 9$ which is reasonably sized and will meet most peoples hunger levels. They do Small, Large and Extra Large which makes me happy because at other places i’m stuck with one size and that is DEFEATING when you cannot finish the meal. At least here you have a chance to prove your worth.
Overall, I’m happy and satisfied with Pho Minh Ky’s restaurant and their food is definitely something to put on your list of things to try on downtown Lynn. I can’t wait for my next Pho trip here and I’ll hope to dine with them...
Read morethe reason for the 2 stars not to do with the food, in fact i had before always enjoyed pho soups from this place. the service that my friends and family received this past saturday was so horrible. i dont think ive had to do a bad review before this. the lady from the restaurant in fact shes Been there Everytime ive visited. my Friend who has bad english tried pointing in the menu to what her choice in food was. when the food came i tried telling the server IT wasnt correct. the Lady instantly had an attitude, told her it was an error and that my friend wanted something else in the menu. we never said we wouldnt pay for the replaced food. but She was so rude that she continúed to talk over my request. everything there on went awful. she then disregarded completely our table failing to ask if we needed something else. instead when she approached us again it was to ask if we were all set, basically kicking us out. then when i told her we actually wanted more tea, she brought the tea to the table putting it close enough in reach to a toddler. to which i pointed out to her. i have no way more of describing this experience...
Read moreWell I hope others see this to not be scammed the way they tried to today. Today they definitely did it Today when I entered and sat down, it took about 10 minutes to ask me what’s a drink or eat. When the sodas were being brought to us, we all know that a soda can is not clean, and it was sitting on top of the cup with ice which is unsanitary, They were also killing flies in the dining area and apart from that towards the end of service, I was told that the tip was mandatory and I asked since one have they change the policy and he said that it’s always been that way. I literally have my receipt from the week before where I went there and paid $41for two soup for one side for one spring roll and for one soda and this time it was $44 for two soups for two sodas and for one spring roll. They added a tip for themselves. Since he was making a big deal about me leaving a tip, I proceeded to put two dollars in a section where it says custom tip and he told me that I cannot do that I can only use that section if I’m going to put a higher tip than what’s offered on the receipt and he proceeded to given attitude...
