High Rock Tower — Attraction in Lynn

It can be a great area to go for dog walking, jogging, photography, and views. With that said it seems the area is more than often overlooked by the city's cleaning crew. Trash barrels constantly are overflowing, no snow removal/ salting, trash almost everywhere at the lower part of the park. The woods/ grounds are barely ever manicured. And for people with dogs beware walking around at night 2/15/22 spotted a large coyote. Most likely hunting hares or feasting on scrap from the overflowing trashbins.

9/8/25 Been gone from lynn for four months I come back and High Rock looks like it wants to compete with Mass Ave. Broken bottles/glass everywhere, needles and drug paraphernalia laying about everywhere, and multiple homeless/ homeless camps. Park just doesn't seem safe or that...

The park is a lot more popular now; the long stairs on the side are used by many people to exercise or update their work out routine, the view is great specially on clear days. The tower and the play areas are visited frequently by families with younger children. The down side is the trash. Left by the kids and at night many teens, adolescents and adults who visit the park leave cigarettes, beer bottles, and other things. An interesting site to visit. It was well kept and clean when I visited! The long stairs to reach it will definitely help you to get your steps in for the day! I would love to visit when the observatory is actually open and you can go inside. Even without it being open it is peaceful and has gorgeous views to take in while you relax on the balcony!
