Honey Fluff Donuts — Restaurant in Lyons Township

I was happy to try this new donut shop. My Mom and I had never tried it before and we were wanting good donuts. I was happy before even going in. They had a 4 donut for $4.99 special. I picked the key lime filled powered donut and the Bismark. My Mom tried the apple cider donut and the cherry donut. I had a regular hot coffee and my Mom was excited that they had the decaf brewed and ready to go, most places never have decaf ready to go so we didn't have to wait for them to brew it. BIG plus for my Mom. The donuts were so soft, fresh and a nice size. Both of my donuts had lots of filling not just a bit in the middle like some places. The coffee had a good flavor and we were both super satisfied. The employees were super friendly and funny. We had a nice laugh with them and another customer. The place lacks a bit in decor but we didn't mind. We sat at a table and there is a counter style sitting area as well. Overall, the place appeared well kept, clean, had lots of choices in donuts, drinks and they even offered other items on the menu as well. We will go back for sure! It says it opens at 5am, online and on the door. So I get there at 502 I see the lady stocking the drink machine but open sign not on yet. I wait even though I'm already late for work. She doesn't even acknowledge a car in front. So I get out and she motions like huh huh. She must of said I'm not open but I can't understand through the door I point to watch letting her know it's 5am. I can clearly see the donuts are ready I needed 5 dozen. Then she continued to stock drinks not even looking up at me. I left went to dunkin donuts down the street. Her donuts are overpriced and not even that good. This is my second bad experience here. Merciless and unprofessional!! I excitingly ordered a toogoodtogobag due to the raving reviews. The timeframe they allowed was during rush hour 3:30-6:30. I had to take my 5 year old niece to a Halloween party and wanted to surprise her with donuts afterwards. With rush hour being so bad before the party even started, I tried calling the store and left a voicemail, BEGGING them if I could pick them up before close knowing I’d miss my window.
