JJ Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Lyons Township

If I can give this one star I would. Let me start off by saying I called to place an order I was put on hold for over 20 minutes they did not come back to the phone. They left the phone off the hook and when I finally arrived and let the cashier know that she left the phone off the hook and she never came back to the phone she said ok she was busy.she took my order and I was told that there will be a 10 minute wait, 10 minutes turned into an hour no compensation no apology no checking on the food at all. By this time 10 people were waiting on chicken and no food was coming up. There was one cook in the kitchen and then another gentleman went to help come to find out the other gentleman was the owner and he was cooking food for his family to take home. He did not help to get the line down he did not help with anything. And while we were waiting there was a gentleman in the shop cutting wood they were under construction and they were cutting wood nothing surrounding it to protect the food or people from wood particles. By the way the person that was cutting the wood Was not in anyPPE he was in jeans T-shirt and a hat. Do not eat here they are under new management and they do not care...

This site has gone thru a couple of owners but these guys have been here for at least a couple of years now!

Items that we just ordered Sunday, May 24 Catfish Fillet Chicken Tenders Bone In Chicken Wings Gizzards (Fried Soft) Medium AND Jumbo Shrimp Fries

When we order we get them with Extra Lemon Pepper. This probably all sounds normal but it’s not. Why? Well when you call some of these other places and you ask them for extra lemon pepper on the side or please separate this item from this item, etc, etc, most places are in a hurry to get you off the phone, not these guys. They, as always, hit it on the spot. Everything was perfect and their items complimented the rest of my food from elsewhere to make our event perfect!

I ordered through Door Dash, they didn’t have the fish I wanted. JJ’s canceled that item off my order. I called immediately to pick a different item. They said ok, but not only did they only bring me half of my families meal, but the part they did bring was incorrect. Also I ordered a Coke, but got an RC.

I called to speak to a manager, but they refused to put one on the phone. They were rude and said I need to deal with Door Dash not them.

We will NEVER EVER GO BACK to this trashy place. Funny how fast food workers want $15 an hour, but literally don’t want to work, they are lazy, rude and have horrible customer service skills.

And they wrong food they did bring...
