The lamb kabab was not the same as kedzi. It was too fatty. They just brought us 2 appetizers for 12 people. We asked them several times to bring more but they did not. Although we ordered separately they brought all 12 people's food together on 3 plates. One rice two kabab. For 12 people they bring just 1 plate of rice for all and told us they will not refill without a charge. We have two always pass rice and kabab among each other. Also, they bring two halves of tomatoes for 12 people.
Regardless of your response to my review, Although we have visited your restaurant many times, this was our first visit to this specific location. In other branches, we often go with even larger groups, and each time our orders were taken separately, and each person was served individually. There was no issue with family-style serving, although we did NOT pay for a family plate. Even if we had been told that it would be served family-style, it would have been fine if everything had been brought out together. This time, a single large platter of rice was brought out for 12 people, and we had to pass it around the table. We asked the waiter if we would be charged for a refill if we needed more. Initially, they said NO, but when we pointed out that the amount of rice was not enough for 12 people, the waiter changed their tone and said they would make an exception for us, as if doing us a favor, even though we had paid for full servings for each person. It felt like they were doing it reluctantly and with a sense of making a concession. Additionally, although they later claimed that no one asked for a refill, we had inquired about it right away. In Iranian culture, when there's not enough food, people tend to eat less out of politeness. If there was any leftover rice, it’s not because we didn’t want more, but simply because there wasn’t enough to begin with. I personally wanted to have more rice, but there just wasn’t enough to go around. It wasn’t about not wanting it; it was about not having enough to serve everyone properly. When it came to the tomatoes, for example, for a group of 12 people, only two halves of a tomato were served, meaning we essentially had to split one tomato among all of us, which didn’t feel appropriate considering we had paid for full portions. At the end, when the server came to check if everything was alright, we said NO, why we had only received two halves of a tomato for 12 people. Then the waiter brought out four more halves, but this happened at the very end of our meal, about five minutes before we were about to leave the restaurant. Additionally, with the appetizers, at first only two were brought out, and then another one came out later after more of our guests arrived. We also asked multiple times for extra bread, but it never came. Even when we asked for separate checks since we were couples who wanted to pay individually, we were told it wouldn’t be a problem, but in the end, we received a single combined bill. Despite our repeated requests, we never got the separate checks that we asked for.
We didn’t come here expecting favors—we expected basic service and fairness. Regardless of how you choose to respond to this review, these were the facts of our experience, and nothing will...

Second comment: Hi Vahid, Thank you for your response. Initially, I chose to keep my review brief and not go into details. However, your lengthy and rather defensive reply has prompted me to share more about our experience. You mentioned reviewing the camera footage—does that footage also include the behavior of the waiter and how we were treated throughout the evening? You referred to our request for more tomatoes, but the real question is: why wasn’t an appropriate amount served to begin with? As the service provider, it’s your responsibility to ensure dishes are properly prepared and portioned without requiring guests to ask for basic components. Typically, in most restaurants, a waiter returns to the table within a few minutes to check if anything is needed. In our case, the waiter didn’t return until most people had finished eating. So the assumption that we asked for extra tomatoes just to take them home is not only incorrect but also dismissive. If you're Persian, you understand how we Iranians treat each other when it comes to hospitality and food. The amount of rice served was clearly not enough, and the waiter explicitly told us that was all we had ordered. We were left trying to portion food carefully so everyone at the table would get enough to eat. While I appreciate your offer for a refund, please understand that our review was not posted with that intention. We've been long-time customers of Noon O Kebab, both at the Kedzie location and the northern suburb branch, and we've never experienced such treatment. Even when we visited the main branch with a group of 20, we were never told that food would be served only on large trays. Additionally, the complimentary starters were always provided promptly—typically one set per two guests. What happened last night, as I’m sure your footage will confirm, was that nothing was brought out until we specifically asked for it, and then the entire table of 12 received only two sets. We will continue dining at the Kedzie branch, but unfortunately, after this experience, this location is permanently...
