Best Chinese around this area! My husband and I moved to this area about a year ago and have not been able to find good Chinese until now. To be honest I pass this place daily and have always been skeptical of the plaza itself, so I never really gave it two thoughts until I looked up the reviews. I was going to a place on card and 23 and it's just not that good. Once I read the reviews on this place, I thought why not. I called and made the order and although it did take 2 hours (it was Christmas and they were slammed) it was well worth the wait!!!! Everything was amazing and when I went to get the food, the lady was so nice and kept apologizing for how long it took. I understood they were busy, so I wasn't upset. This is now going to be our go to Chinese place!! If anyone is looking for a place to try, try this place out, you won't be disappointed....and if you do order and it takes a while, don't be mad, just know that they are that good that everyone is ordering from them!! Read moreThey make things different than most Chinese restaurants in the city. Its hard finding food that is close to what I grew up with here in the burbs. The Almond chicken was good. My second half was very dry and the gravy that traditionally compliments the dish was like a broth. It wasn't good it wasn't bad... it was odd... The sweet n sour sauce is off too. My son didn't really enjoy his meal. The sesame chicken and chicken lo mein was okay. It was given to us the way we ordered which was a bonus. Good egg rolls but I needed plum sauce. Their sauce was like an interesting sweet n sour type sauce.
Over all the fried rice was MUCH better than New Moon(won't go there again). We may give it another shot and grab plum sauce from New Moon because that's the best thing they serve.
Good portion for the money, friendly...
Read moreGreat dishes served here, fresh vegetables and ingredients used, generous portions, friendly family-owned restaurant. Definitely a carry-out kind of place. There is seating, but not much of a restaurant ambiance. Expect to order your food and wait AT LEAST a half-hour for your order to be ready. This place is popular, so I think they get slammed with orders from the time they open. When the food is ready, and you eat it at home, you will understand why you had to wait. It's always cooked perfectly, no burned pieces, no inconsistencies, just good food. So please don't get upset or angry about how long it takes (the person in front of me complained, I'm thinking it was their first time there), you'll love the food, but you'll just have to...
