The HUB Sports Bistro — Restaurant in Macomb Township

I wanna start this by saying I come here very often, however today when I came in the food was good - but service left a lot to be desired. Our server was nowhere to be found most of the time, she checked in once or twice but really close together so by the time we needed refills she was gone. She didn't ask what dipping sauce we wanted for our wings so he didnt get any, and he was going to ask but again, she didn't end up stopping by again besides to bring us the bill. She also forgot to give us our drinks, and forgot to give us menus before walking away so we sat a good 5-7 minutes waiting on the drinks and we had to remind her we still needed menus. She was also swearing and just being generally unprofessional which is often my vibe, but it was shocking that she was acting like that off the rip because theres certainly many customers who do not appreciate that. Like, I'd barely sat down and she was dropping f-bombs, which again doesnt necessarily bother me but adding all that together it didn't feel chill it just felt unprofessional and cheap.

Only note I had about the food was the tortilla chips were different with my dip, looked and tasted store bought, and usually when i get this here the chips seem to be made in house or at least a better quality. If they were subbing because they were out I'd totally understand, just wasn't something i was told. They've usually been darker in color and tasted like they were fried in house, wanna assume it's made here because theyve been pretty oily in the past.

Still love this place and going to keep coming, but was a really odd experience out of the numerous times I've been here in the past.

Wanted to edit to add, I went out to my car midway through waiting for the bill, when the other person asked for our bill she walked away with receipts then didn't come back, then remembered and finally brought it. I've never not tipped for service, but this was a hard one. Not sure what was going on with any of it, wasn't slammed, there were a few other servers, so just maybe a bad day or maybe that's just her skill level but either way wasnt...

Once again all tables reserved, yet only half of them filled for Lions Monday night game. The bar seats on the original side were full since all the tables were reserved so we went to the only open not reserved seats at the bar on the new addition. Drinks were all in plastic solo cups like a college house party, so I walked up to the bar on the other side to get a drink in a glass. Ordered food and were handed plastic plates fork and knives. That’s just the start.

We ordered two appetizers everyone around us ordered food as well. Our neighbors food came out, went straight to them. The people next to them, same. Our food came out and we were looked at, then the food was set on the bar where the bartenders rang up food and made drinks, not given to us. The people on the other side of us, their food came out and went straight to them. People at tables in this area, same food runner, food went straight to them. Our food sat there and had people reaching over it to ring in food and make drinks. We finally got someone’s attention and they brought it to us after at least 5 minutes. It was cold. Asked to have it re made and it was brought back out to us less than 5 minutes later, same food obviously microwaved and now burnt on top. The bartender who took our order came over when it was dropped off and I asked that it be thrown in the trash and told her it was clearly microwaved and brought back out and she agreed and was appalled. She set it on the sink to ring in the two new appetizers and the manager, Stephanie, came out and argued with her in front of us that it wasn’t cold and didn’t need to be re made in the first place. Stephanie then took the food that was sitting on the sink back into the kitchen before our bartender/server could throw it out.

This is the second time we’ve been treated this way at this trash...

This is not a sports bar. Don't be fooled by the sign out front or the many TV screens inside. This place is a wannabe disco that plays loud (DJ driven) music during games. I just brought a bunch of guys up there to have some food, drink some beer, and watch a Michigan game -- and they turned the sound off the game at halftime in lieu of some super annoying, super loud dance music. I complained to my server and she sent over a manager. When I complained to the manager, she said this is per the owner's direction and me and my party can leave if we don't like it. And, of course, we left to watch the game at an actual sports bar. Mind you, our tab was a few hundred dollars. And it would have been several hunfeed dollars more if we could have watched (and listened) to the game. We will not be going back to this place and I will not be recommending any of my friends or family to go here (unless their interested in loud, obnoxious...
