The Old Dairy — Restaurant in Macomb

Absolutely loved my visit. Today was my first. Coffee was delicious, even got some to go. Haha! Don't know exactly how it's suppose to work there, but I'm not a shy person. We walked in I noticed two different seating areas one up front, and one in the back by the coffee bar and where you order your food. We choose a table near the coffee bar, so I could get a feel for the place. I'm assuming a lot of the customers are regulars, called them by name most of the time. I noticed where you order your food there is menus you can take to your table, and after you decide return the menu to the order here and wait, someone will be with you shortly, you don't go unnoticed. After that just sit back down, food is at your table in less then ten minutes, I used my time to go get a latte which was probably the best one I've ever had. When your all done there's a sign that says pay here, they'll confirm your order, and don't forget to tip! They do accept cash and debit card I noticed. The space has good functionality but also has a warm & inviting atmosphere at the same time. Daily specials are always available, as are a seasonal variety of flavored coffee. Expensive for what is provided, I had the special of the day, a meat ball sandwich on a sour dough bun. My dining partner ordered a soup and sandwich. While the meat ball was ok fair, they did not seem to be fresh but rather frozen meat balls with only a fair, jarred marinara sauce. My spouces meal was incomplete, they had run out of soup so rather than to check on an alternate choice, they chose a grilled cheese sandwich, not what she would have chosen.
