Mi Margarita's Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Macon

First off I want to say the food here is some of the best Mexican around. Given my 4 stars. However. Today marked the 3rd time I've ordered Togo and got home without my white cheese that goes along with my meal! On 2 occasions I've ordered for myself and my 2 children. 2 MM salads and Chicken and rice which all 3 meals are to have white cheese served with it. But because my kids love cheese dip I ordered 2 more, 2 ounce cups of cheese. So I should have had 5 cups of cheese dip with that order. I only received the 2 EXTRA that I paid for not the 3 that came with my meals. Today, I ordered for myself alone. MM salad, no olives. This as stated before comes with white cheese. Only to get home to eat my food. No white cheese. My salad while seasoned well was dry! For a 15.00 salad everything should be included in the description of the meal unless otherwise requested. I will continue to order here, however I will check my bag before pulling off to make sure I have everything...

So I tried it out because I heard some good reviews but was very disappointing! My son's "quesadilla" had cold cheese not even melted on the inside. I had to come home and reheat it just to make it decent enough and it was so tiny! I know it's a kids meal but that was just ridiculous. My mom's fried tilapia had no flavor we also had to come home and season it to give it some kind of taste. My other son's shredded chicken and rice just looked so unappealing and he didn't like it at all! The only decent plate was the MM special and that was kind of cold when picked up. I can see why someone would think this place is okay because of that special, I'm sure it's the most popular dish. However. I was NOT impressed overall and will never return again. As a restaurant you should always want to be your best for newcomers like myself to want us coming back but they couldn't have possibly thought that food was up to...

EAT HERE! Don't let the exterior fool you. Some of the best service and food we had on our trip to Parris Island, SC from Memphis, TN was at this little restaurant attached to a gas station. The woman, who is from Panama, was so sweet and kind and treated us like family. She told us it makes her very happy that people enjoy her food. Best salsa and chips I have ever had! Both made fresh and so delicious. She and her granddaughter took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect for our meal. Outstanding service and a wonderful experience. So sad we were just passing through and live so far away. I would go every week to support this sweet woman doing what she clearly loves and puts her heart into...and to get more of that salsa!!
