Waffle House — Restaurant in Macon

My girlfriend and I were watching a video of an African American female stomping on the American flag and our waitress wanted to see what we were talking about. Our waitress told us that she seen no problem with the video. I asked for another waitress and once I did the waitress went and told the staff I was racist and a red neck. Far from that . Several mins passed and no waitress came over they left us sitting there. When I finally got a waitress attention she said she refused to wait on me. , I told her we would take our business somewhere else. While walking out. One employee called 911. Because I was taken their pictures. I waited not far from the Waffle House and I phone the police to tell them where I was and they came and they thanked me for standing up for what I believe. I met with Mark Perry and he felt that the waitress had more rights. Join boycott Waffle House Hartley bridge road on face book on flag day we will pick it this location and always remember this fight is not about me. It's about our military. And veterans who serve or who has served our country. This fight is for all the lives lost and all the blood shed on 9 11. Please share this with all family...

I have been to more than a few Waffle Houses, and this one ranks right up there at the top with others that are clean, have good people working there, and prepare your meal Right.

From their national trademark greeting "hello, welcome to waffle house", to the service at the table. All was top notch.

Waffle Houses are, unfortunately, hit and miss for cleanliness. This one is a Hit, as it is Very Clean.

My Waitress was the ever-smiling, Penelope. I fell in love with her the moment she said I did not look my age. :-) She also offered good advice when I mentioned I wanted to try something new, and I took it.

Harold prepared my meal. He was spot on with my Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt. Very tasty. The meat was moist, the bacon crisp. Could not have been done any better. I sent a tip his way as well, when settling up with Penelope. Folks, including me, forget to tip the cook and he/she is the reason we remember the food so well! Thank you Harold.

All in all, a very nice stop. Good restaurant, good location easy on and off from I-75, good food and a real nice friendly spirit among the employees here. I would stop again when traveling through here, and will look forward to...

Service not very welcoming. The waitress didn’t smile. One waitress took my drink order and another took my food order. The waitress that took my food order brings me my drink and the waitress that took my drink order brings me another drink which I didn’t mind. After looking at each other confused I tell them it’s fine to have both drinks as I will drink both of them, I have one drink taken away.

This cook must be new and still training. I stated to my waitress that onions are ok on my Texas bacon cheese steak along with the pickles. The bread on my sandwich was not toasted properly in my opinion and I didn’t get my pickles served with my sandwich. The cook asked me if my meal looked perfect in which I replied that it did not. She asked me what was wrong with it and I told her that she had forgotten my pickles. She then brings me another plate with like four pickles on it.

The cook did not have their area the cleanest. She didn’t have her area fully stocked. Overall her grill area was not setup for success. She had to ask my waitress how to prepare the chili.

Overall an ok experience, but not the best one...
