Chez Helen — Restaurant in Madawaska

Went to a place called Dolly's for lunch , seated my self and waited 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged , 5 more minutes went by and nothing, in walk's a young mother and her child , to my surprise she was seated immediately got menu and her drink order was taken , at which time I left and came to Helen's were I was greated by the owner and my order was taken immediately .the meat loaf was outstanding so was the chicken & rice soap , in closing if you look different than the local's or from out of town avoid Dolly's and come straight to...

The hours here are listed until 1:00 PM. My dad and I went. We entered into the restaurant at 12:45...it was seat yourself. We sat. After sitting there for about 10 minutes, someone came over to us and told us the restaurant was closed...this was still before 1:00. Disappointing to day the least. My husband is in food service and closing times are understandable, but the signage should indicate that orders end 15 minutes before closing or at least turn off...

I always enjoy going to Chez Helen whenever I visit Madwaska. It's modern chic design and welcoming wait staff makes every visit a great one. Not to mention that the owner is almost always present and greets every customer she can to ensure that the service is great. Highly recommend trying their coconut creme pie, the best...
