It's rare that I have a strong enough reaction to a restaurant to go online the next morning to rate it, but this was one of those times. We ordered: *Shrimp Egg Rolls: Oddly sweet. They were also undercooked and the egg roll wrapper was still floury. *Pork Egg Rolls: Ok, nothing great. Not much pork flavor, just slightly sweet cabbage. *Crab Rangoon: One of my favorite dishes, and ordered at every Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. Great Wall's version (more likely the cheap frozen ones they order) are the worst I've ever had. *Fried Rice: Yellow. Fried rice should not be yellow. It also had very little flavor. *Sweet and Sour Chicken: Chicken cooked well in a crispy (though heavy) breading, but the sauce was insipid and neither sweet nor sour *Shrimp in Lobster Sauce: Disgusting. Smelled like... can't describe it. Canned fish-flavored cat food? Tasted just as bad as it smelled. All of it was dumped. *Garlic Shrimp: This was pretty good. Plump shrimp, lots of well-cooked broccoli. Spicy sauce, although it was overly sweet and the same unnatural red color as the sweet and sour sauce and I'm pretty sure they just used the Sweet and Sour for a base and added some garlic and chili paste to it. The fact that this was somewhat enjoyable to eat is why the review is two stars instead of one.
Bottom line is you're better off going to Panda Express. Their food isn't great, but it's better...
Read moreCorrect me if I’m wrong. You guys put la Choy in your hot and sour soup. Just don’t do that. Do what you’re doing but just do not add la Choy to the hot and sour soup. You can sell it at the same price and it will be 10 times better. La Choy has a taste you just can’t untaste and it doesn’t belong in hot and sour soup. Please respond to this when you stop doing that so I can order hot and sour soup from you.
Also your fried scallops are actually fried imitation crab disks. Which isn’t even crab. It’s fish. So it’s a lie within a lie. Just straight up remove it from your menu or call it what it is. I completely forgot about that when initially writing the review and saw those sad fish hot dog disks sitting on my stove. There may even be legal issues with calling those scallops. I’m going to assume that anything labeled lobster on your menu is actually crawfish.
In fact this sea food deception is kind of driving me to start a subway tuna salad level...
Read moreThe best thing I can say is portion sizes are large. Other than that, it is Not good. Ordered last night and pretty much everything is sub par. Love mein noodles are TOTALLY overdone and mushy, and our chicken look mein order was 90% noodle and only a few pieces of chicken at the top of the container. Broccoli was under done in the chicken and broccoli order, as well as it being 75% broccoli with, again, barely any chicken.. ordered extra sauce and it didn't come with that either. So disappointed, especially because it's our closest restaurant for Chinese food. After about a year of trying different things (used to order other things, like general tso's, but the breading was mushy also and the quality of chicken diminished significantly, and ever other item just sucks) and having underwhelming food, we won't be...
