Los Mariachis Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Madison Township

After reading reviews here, I had decided to take my wife out and try a local restaurant. Boy, did I fail.

First of all, the service wasn't bad, it was non-existent. After placing our order, we had to ask for a refire of my wife's steak. She ordered Med-rare, and instead received a over-cooked flavorless steak. No seasoning, and obviously thawed earlier that day. I had warned her about getting a steak at a Mexican restaurant, but that wasn't the worst of it.

I had ordered ala cart chimichanga, burrito and refried beans, only to get 2 chimichangas and refried beans. The chimi's were burnt, which I don't mind, but really? It really is difficult to screw up Mexican food, and this place did it in a grand fashion.

The salsa was only bearable after dumping hot sauce in it, otherwise it tasted like sweet tomato sauce.

After nibbling on her flavorless steak (mind you, she felt extremely bad sending the first one back), she decided it was just not edible. After 5 minutes, we asked for a box that was promptly "flung" on the table as he passed by.

So, now, we are ready to leave and waited from 9:02PM to 9:17PM where I had to flag down someone to ask for a check.

Now, I'm not sure where the other reviewers eat Mexican food at normally, but this place failed on all levels.

We even joked about sending a letter to Hell's Kitchen, but realized we don't think it would help.

I can see where regular Groveport townsfolk might make this place a regular place to eat, but when you see new people come in, try like heck to make them want to come back.

Instead, we will never eat this place again and feel bad that eventually, it will be out of business unless they try harder. One way would be to reduce their huge menu. I was surprised to see steak on the menu in the first place. With a menu that large, there is absolutely no way the food you are eating is fresh.

On a side note, the kids next to us were underage and drinking. Although funny listening to one of the guys teach the girl how to properly shoot tequila, it goes to show how little anyone at this place could care for it's customers.

When we first arrived at this place the parking lot was pretty much bare. There was only one couple inside the restaurant when we entered in. So prior to entering in one of the employees was standing at the door peering out waiting on customers to show up. The food was delicious, food was fast, food was hot, a little pricey but it's the same pretty much anywhere you go, however the table service was a little lacking apparently they were short staffed and did not have enough employees however I did see one female employee, two male employees as well as the fact there had to been somebody in the back cooking so I'm not sure why no one ever bothered to come back to the table to check on us to see if we needed any refills or if we need a boxes or to bring us our check. I went up front got the boxes myself, we went up front and stood at the front desk until someone came to wait on us, outside of that the food was delicious. We are all in food comas. Soo much food... sooo tasty......sooo yummy! We ordered take out for the first time, they had excellent phone service, triple checked our order (including some special requests), gave us a reasonable time, when we got there they did say there was 1 exception but gave us a choice on what to replace the item with, were super super friendly, excellent service, food was ready nearly on time (less then 10min even with the swap out), place was very clean, even the customers in line were friendly! The food was packed with great care and labeled as to what was what - the special instructions were in place and the food was ABUNDANT!!!
