Nowhere else in Madison can you find authentic, fresh Somali food. It is excellent food, large servings, incredibly flavorful and you’ll get kind service.

Madison has needed a Somali restaurant for awhile!

My family and I are already regulars; we have tried their goat, chicken suqaar (smaller chunks of chicken with peppers), beef suqaar (smaller cubed beef with peppers) grilled bone-in chicken, their rice and their spaghetti with meat sauce.

All of their meat is incredibly tender and well-seasoned.

The spaghetti could be an entree alone and will make you rethink tomato-based pasta meals.

Never had a Somalian food before, and it was amazingly delicious. We ordered beef suqar for lunch, looked bit like a briyani but tasted much better with well seasoned meat cooked with green peppers and onions, topped with 3 diff sauces/dips- yogurt, honey mustard and spicy green sauce, made the dish 10x more delicious. We normally go to Istanbul Market next to it to buy halal meats and eat kefta kebab plate, but now we have more reason to come to this area to have Somali food take out. Highly recommended. We tried Sambusa, goat with rice and chicken with rice. The owner brought to us flat bread call Malawi which is similar to the French crepes but tested better than any crepes in the fancy French restaurant I had. He also brought us banana to have it with our meal. That sounds a little strange but it tested so good with the meal. We loved everything we had.
