I absolutely love the cargo on East Washington Ave so I was excited to try here out. I go there once a week at least. I decided to pop in for a quick bite with my friend. The ambiance when you walk in is wonderful! We walked in and waited in line for about 5 minutes as this lady asked about 5 different types of drinks the gentleman taking the order was very patient with her! As we were waiting in line I was hoping for something to eat. The gentleman at the counter was very sweet and took our order, but told us the kitchen closed at 4:15, meanwhile it was 4:08. He felt bad and said he'd make the order, which was super kind of him. Everyone else in the kitchen was teasing him and making (purposefully loud) rude comments that we could entirely hear and only made me question the time and why the kitchen was closed early more. I understand they were in the process of closing the kitchen, but it was not the time they said and had everyone else not butted into the conversation we would have gone across the street for food. The rest of the staff needs a brush up on proper customer service. They just needed to not say anything or just tell us sorry we closed the kitchen early. We were semi worried the others might spit in our food, but the same gentleman who took our order they forced to make the food because they didn't want to help clean up. We left the establishment 20 minutes before they even closed with food in our hands. However, the gentleman who took our order was very kind. Your level of service does not go unnoticed! Give that guy a...
Read morePlease do NOT support this establishment!! I thought this would be a great new work/leisure spot, however the baristas are thieves. I left my purse there the other day and called minutes later, chatting with a barista who located the purse and said it was untouched (as I was the only patron just before closing). She said sheâd keep it behind the counter for me. Upon return I was met by another barista who said âwe looked through your purse and everythingâs thereâ. Ummmm... how would you know what I keep in my purse. Foolishly I didnât examine the contents until I arrived home. Unfortunately when I did my wallet was gone. Checked credit card statements immediately and had fraudulent charges already. Shortly after the coffee shop closed. NOT coincidental sadly. Called the coffee shop the next day and spoke to a manager who said sheâd talk to the owner. I received a return call stating they couldnât give me the names of the thieves and hoped I found my wallet. It has been a true nightmare spending the time getting everything in order and coming to terms that certain items in there will never be retrieved. Iâve also lost a bit of faith in humanity. Please please please do NOT support...
Read moreI was here with my bf for the first time today at about 4:35pm, we were the only customers in the building. i say âhi!!â to the cashier, we were not greeted with a hello but with a rude and snappy âwhat do you want?â
we said we had never been there before, and apologized for taking a second to look at the menu. he just started at us like we were taking too long, he looked genuinely annoyed with us. iâve worked foods service a lot, if i were him, i wouldâve said âi like the blank and this is good too!â it felt so rude.
i end up ordering the same drink as my boyfriend, just because he was hurrying us with his demeanor. we skipped pastries because me and my bf without speaking agreed we donât want to spend more money hereâŚ
when our drinks were done he yells â2 green mango smoothies!!â nearly at the top of his lungs, and doesnât even look at us. (we are siting right next to the counter lol)
very weird experience. donât work in customer service if youâre rude to people for no reason.
we unfortunately will...
