Lockeroom Sports Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Madison

The bartender on Halloween night was unbelievably rude and condescending. I first noticed her being dismissive towards my cousin's friend, which was already uncomfortable. Then, when I went up to order a simple Captain and Coke, she acted as if I’d asked for something absurd. She looked at me like I was stupid and demanded I specify a “tall or small” size and the number of shots — which, in my experience, has never been necessary for a straightforward order.

She was overwhelming, overly critical, and honestly seemed to go out of her way to make me feel uncomfortable over a basic drink order. It felt like she was just looking for reasons to be difficult and rude, as if bullying customers was her goal. I don’t appreciate being made to feel like a nuisance just for asking for a standard drink. Her behavior was unprofessional and put a damper on the night. Blonde tattoo bartender...

The parking lot is way too small, bar service is inconsistent and they don't always have what you want. Combination of old school Oscar Mayer crowd and club kids; everyone gets along pretty well. Iirc they only take cash, but there's an ATM right by the bar which is great placement until the bar is crowded. I think there's a dart board and maybe an electronic poker game or two. There are pool tables set a little too closely together and some nights there are DJs which are a lot of fun. The dance floor is decent and right by the doors to the patio. The patio is great in warm weather; there are several games and fire pits for when there's a chill in the air.

This bar used to belong to my uncle, Steve Caravello back in the 70's. He was a golfing legend in Madison. He was inducted into the Wisconsin Golf Hall of Fame in 1967. He won the Madison City Men's championship an unprecedented nine times.
