WOW I GOT SHAKE AND TOSS IN THE BAG 20$ TACOS bear & bottle dosent care what they serve or how they serve it GO TO PATRICIAS JUST FEET AWAY DEAR SIRS My shrimp taco order from last night has me depressed. First when they put it in the bag they tilted it and the taco ingredients were in a plie at 1 side of the container. I used to order these as a celebration, but these new tiny sized tacos w little chopped pieces of shrimp were nothing but disappointing I dont expect to have unlimited shrimp but compared to the way they were was extra depressing and turned a celebration into disappointment. WOW wont be buying these againI Hello, We’re sorry to hear that your taco order didn’t meet your expectations. With distribution issues from vendors, we’re sometimes forced to use to go boxes that are larger in width than our to go bags. We try our best to make sure that every order goes out as close to the same presentation that you’d get when dining in. Unfortunately, we didn’t live up to that and we apologize sincerely for the inconvenience. We switched to a more traditionally made corn tortilla made by a local company last year. Although the quality is the best we’ve ever found, the size of the tortillas are a little smaller than what we’ve used in the past. Our portion size has remained closely to our previous servings, including the amount of shrimp that are cut smaller than before to accommodate the tortilla shell and other ingredients. We always appreciate any feedback, positive or negative, so that we can continue to improve and give our guests the best possible experience we can. Again, we apologize for the poor experience you had with us and hope you’ll give us another opportunity to show you our best. Thanks, Bear and Bottle I appreciate the thought, but this reads like a form letter you send out to everyone w this same problem and ZERO solution ! You might want to check w your kitchen manager about the amount because you are inaccurate on "the portion is the same" claim. I have eaten your whole shrimp tacos many times. This time I had to rebuild my ruined celebration dinner buy hand and I will guaranty you that the amount of shrimp and ingredients was not close to the old amount 3 shrimp per taco thats why I would pay over 20$ and be full and happy. This time I wasn't close to either without a doubt I tell you "your ruined taco dinner actually made me depressed" Your response is Again, we apologize for the poor experience you had with us and ...............hope you’ll give us another opportunity to show you our best. .................??? wt heck? Do you really think a wronged customer is going to drop another 22$ to hope my first total loss was just an anomaly? Without hope of compensation? I know for a fact you should be offering to show me your best after the injuries you inflicted on my celebration dinner. I have managed several kitchens and restaurants. Let me assure you this answer was as disappointing as the tacos you served me Sorry to be a pain But Im a good paying customer and got a literally physically messed up order with an equally benign and disappointing response. The problem created by your meal should never be translated to the customer You already did that once w the jumbled bag of tacos that I had to scrape up and rebuild, it is very insulting a...
Read moreNice atmosphere but a bit pricey imho for pub Mexican food. Waiter Corey was very friendly & efficient. I ordered one of the daily specials of Shrimp Fajitas & specified with corn tortillas as I like the crunch - as opposed to flour tortillas. The 3 sets of tortillas appeared to be made in-house & were SOGGY!! I'm not even sure how this is possible!! They rest of the ingredients were served unassembled - shrimp, red pepper, poblano, guacamole, pico de gallo & sour cream - which was fine except that with all of that (some in little containers) on the plate, there was really no space to assemble the fajitas - even when setting aside the pico, guac & sour cream to make room. I ended up making tacos with the tortillas & tried eating them without everything falling out or the "taco" disintegrating in my hand. Again, there simply was not enough space on the plate to create a flat 2-tortilla fajita as it's supposed to be made. In hind sight, I should have asked for a 2nd plate, but I didn't think of it. I just tried to make do. As it was my birthday, I had a choice of a free drink or a dessert. I chose Lava Cake, I think it was called. I expected it to be molten in the center. It wasn't. It was a ramekin-sized fudge creation, which I shared with others in my group. It was VERY tasty, as were the fajitas, and I'll maybe eat there again but just be aware of the things I learned on my first experience. Cocktails were good - strong enough but not too strong. Great beer & wine selection. Overall, a nice time - made especially...
Read moreSo the entrance is a little awkward. You have to walk through the bar area to get to the host/hostress station but this isn't the first place to do that set up. Once in we were seated quickly which is rare on a Saturday night in the Madison area. Most places have a 50 - 60 minute wait for a walk-in. The bar area and a good part of the dinning area was filled, very few open seats. Menu had lots of drink and food options. Some drinks with unique and cool names. I ordered the California Chimichanga which comes with Carne Asada, refried beans, cheese blend, jalapneno queso, guacamole, french fries, pico de gallo, salsa verde. To drink I had the Market Margherita. The flavor of the day on this day was pomegranate. As you can see by the picture at first, some of the items seem to be missing from my entree. But not so, you see, that is because all of the items were stuffed inside of the Chimichanga. The soggy potatoes really washed out what little flavor this dish had for me. It was not tasty or spicy. The steak was tender so not a total loss. The drink, pomegranate Market Margherita was not very good either. I couldn't taste the pomegranate or the tequilla. All you could taste was lime. We tried to order desert but they were out of almost everything that sounded like a possible viable option for our table. It was all ok, but I would not likely revisit...
