El Grito Taqueria — Restaurant in Madison

We hired El Grito Taqueria for our wedding, and they were fantastic. From the beginning, they were very responsive and always willing to answer all of our questions. The tacos were amazing, as usual, and everybody loved them. Everybody in the wedding complimented the tacos; note that about half of the party was from Mexico. We would definitely work with them again.

The only thing that we would change would be that when they left, they did not let us know if there were any left-overs. In our previous discussions, we were told that we would keep anything that was left. Had I, the groom, not been around the area to notice that they were about to drive away, we would not have known they were gone.

I planned to have El Grito Tacqueria at our wedding. We booked them over a year out and were super excited. We discussed the minimum order and taco prices. I planned. I budgeted. And then 6 months before our wedding, they raised their minimum by double and increased their prices. With the size of my wedding and having already booked two food carts, I knew we could not possibly meet their minimum anymore and it was way above our planned budget. We had Matthew cater my son’s rehearsal dinner last weekend and I can not say enough about the whole experience. He was so easy to work with and the food was absolutely outstanding. We rented a heated shelter in Middleton and Matthew brought everything in and served all of our guests. We got such positive feedback from our guests. Guarantee it was the best rehearsal dinner any of them had been to. I don’t think that you can make a mistake with any of his food. His attention to detail with the flavors of the food was tip top.
