Had a lovely break at this coffee shop. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I stopped by because there were a lot of teas on the menu. The staff made a great recommendation and made a solid iced tea for me. I added a cherry Danish and hung out for a while. They are adding lunch back soon, but it wasn't available when I went. There is a variety of seating, a water feature, and some vintage/art items to browse. The door said WiFi but I didn't see a specific one for them or any outlets to plug in that were easily accessible, so you may want to reach out if you are planning on stopping in to work.

The Mad bean is usually pretty great! I’ve been hooked on their popping boba. I like to ask for the boba without ice since I will be driving home with it and don’t want the ice to dilute the drink. When I ask for no ice I usually get a full drink, but for some reason when my boyfriend went and got our boba, the server gave him two half full drinks. He didn’t notice until he got home. I am very disappointed with my service this time at a usually great place. For $5 a drink I expect it to be full. This drink was untouched, the straw still in the wrapper.

I used to be a S⭐️bucks addict, but I hated the fact that about 30% of the time the coffee tasted burned and undrinkable. Then I discovered Mad Bean, not 5 minutes from my house! The coffee is ALWAYS delicious 100% of the time, the music is great, they have great snack options, (even if you're trying to be "healthy"!), the atmosphere is so mellow and relaxing (and charming as heck). You've got to try it out! (AND they're cheaper than the chain place I used to buy coffee!)

This place would be an easy five star but the shoeless owners allow their free range shoeless children to run from front of house to back. One kid was using the entire space to do cartwheels for what seemed like 30 minutes. Another kid thought the space was a pow-wow and found everything under the roof to drum on and chant. Another kid, a toddler in diapers, kept playing with the chemical sprays, which were conveniently stored two feet above the floor on hooks by the register and not being monitored by the parents. Two more of the kids, who I am surprised to say may have had shoes on, kept running full speed up to me and staring at me at an uncomfortably close range. They would make harsh screams before running away. When these two kids weren't shrill screaming at me, they would find toys to bang on the table I was sitting at. Without the kids, this would have been an incredible atmosphere to relax, wind down and do some work – which is why I came. But I guess I got entertainment instead for no...

Been here a thousand times. Greatest atmosphere hands down when it comes to places in Madison. Coffee is off the chain. A must visit if you're just passing through. They've expanded into food and a bar and it's just been uphill since then. The staff are a lovely husband and wife just dying to serve the next customer. Some fo the staff looks tired sometimes but who wouldn't be when you have that kind of traffic and food/drink that attracts all kinds of people. Wish there was one here in Greensboro. The perfect place for any age/generation whatsoever, whenever a local band isn't playing they have several options for their customers to choose from, either vinyl, tape, CD, DVD, etc. Or go ahead and pick up a guitar and pick and strum away! Definitely recommended for ATLEAST a single visit if you're in town. PS: Smoothies are off...

Visit today and ordered the chef salad. I only received lettuce, tomato, turkey and cucumbers. I ordered additional dressing and had to remind the staff I needed it. The menu stated the chef salad also included onions, cheese and ham. In addition to this I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for an iced coffee. Still didn’t get my extra dressing but after waiting 30 minutes for my coffee I just wanted to get out. The waitress took every single persons order (11 people) who came in after me BEFORE getting my coffee. My salad alone was $10 and it didn’t even include all the items stated on the menu. Im not sure that I will return...
