Huddle House — Restaurant in Magee

We were there Sat. morning. The place was busy with the place full. Our waitress waited on us and soon after I could tell something was wrong. An employee had gotten ill. It was in back, not in restaurant area. But those girls never missed a beat. Our waitress was with the worker that had become ill but Deborah checked on us and got our order out. Deborah continued to check on us and other customers while our waitress was in back taking care of the worker that had fallen ill. Deborah has been there a long time and even though she wasn’t our waitress Sat. she always makes sure everybody is taken care of. The entire staff handled that Saturday morning exceptionally well. Most customers probably didn’t even know what was going on because the staff all pitched in and kept the place running. We enjoy eating at Huddle House. Staff is always very friendly, checking on you to make sure you have everything you need, coming around to make sure your coffee cup is full and the food is always good. They are always top notch but wanted to say they went beyond on Saturday. I’m sure it had to scare the staff with a coworker becoming ill. Congrats to the staff for a job well...

I had the Chocolate Fix pancakes (it's 2 choc chip) & 1 waffle. I also had a Chocolate Milkshake (totally worth it lol). My hub ordered the Huddle Up Sampler & their Mushroom Swiss Burger. So, the pancakes were a let down but only bc of the lack of choc chips; there were so very few! They were nothing like the picture. The pancakes themselves were delicious, however. My waffle was a surprise! It was thick & soft! It could have been a little more crispy, but I'm not really complaining! To me, it was WAYYY better than Waffle House's waffles! Theirs are thin in comparison. Hubby really liked his burger. And the Huddle Up Sampler was really good, too. It comes with fried pickles, french fries, jalapeño poppers, & mozzarella sticks. The pickles were thick with a nice batter that didn't fall apart! All in all, it was an enjoyable supper! I'm still full & have leftovers...

OMG!! This place is amazing!!! I had the prime rib tip sandwich. It's was die happy food. Hubby's southwestern breakfast bowl was great too. Store was clean and the smell of cooking waffles was enough to make you swoon! We had the sweetest little server, Savanah. Her attitude (and her accent) were as sweet as the waffle scent that permeates the store. She was outstanding. We so throughly enjoyed our dining experience there. The managers were excellent as well. Check out the pic of the sign hanging next to the door. It's absolutely wonderful to see managers stand up for their people. If you are going through Magee Mississippi you absolutely have to stop there. I can't wait to go back. PS.
