I had been trying to trying to track down this True Mexican Restaurant named Catrina's Cantina ever since my good friend Lorenzo told me & fellow tracker Ronnie G. DEE Jay! about it while dining at Beach Mountain Diner in Hazelwood nearby a year or two ago. It took a while, but patience is a Plus when tracking down something or someone worthwhile. Located at the Popular Junction of Hwy. 276 towards Knoxville and Hwy. 19 below the center of Maggie is where the Heart ❤️ of Mexican Cruisine lay. I was aware of that alone for the past two or three months definitively. After a good-hearted woman and I finally dined there prior to the lights going out in the Valley this early morning in October of 2023, my mission 😎 is complete. I found the soul of a nation and the soul of another, and yet, the journey may have just begun. While my guitar gently weeps - a good track played best by Jimi OR Lay Lady Lay, played most by Eric Clapton, suits the emotional palette nest right now. In the end it is all for naught or mercy: for the Love you Save is equal to the Love you Spend on the Last Track of The Beatle's Abby (whatever) Road Album AND last note played as well: D. Simultaneously on (4) Big Grand Pianos 🎹 by hired Studio Musicians in a Studio somewheres. If God is the Only person that hears my Twisted Notes on whatever black & whites I stumble upon on this earthly 🌎 Journey - I will be more than sassified (irregardless of what may or may or may not follow.) Catrina's Cantina in Maggie Valley??? I KNOW I will dine there again. Life & God are always good, and I never lower my eyes to anyone when I...
Read moreOrdered a la cart quesadilla. Came out with rice and lettuce and pico. Bill came I was charged for the quesadilla platter which was $10 more than the a la cart. When I notified the server of the mistake/misunderstanding I was told that since I boxed my leftovers up and took it she was charging me for the platter.
When pressed, she got her (rude terrible attitude and argumentative) manager who was more interested in arguing than actually helping. I've been a server for 20 years. Even if it was a neutral mistake (I didn't say a la cart, she didn't ask) the reataurant takes the L because I don't know your damn menu! She then made me go get my leftovers and give them to her before she would refund my card and re-ring the order In.
Never in my life have I experienced such God awful customer service at any restaurant I've ever eaten. She escalated the situation, refused to admit wrong doing, was never there to help with an issue, and absolutely should NEVER be able to run a restaurant anywhere. This is the first review I've ever written in my life. It was THAT egregious. I'm literally standing outside right now writing the review.
NEVER COME HERE!!!
Just moved to the area too and was hoping for a dope Mexican spot. You just lost an entire family of regulars because of your poor...
Read moreMexican food is my favorite. My girlfriend and I have wanted to see about this place for several months. If you live in the area, you have likely been in there when it was another bar. Although we were very hungry and thirsty, it was too early to belly up to the bar. So we ordered enchiladas and I had a taco while she had the burrito. Certainly not what I expected. Beef, beans, and rice. Greasy and not enough enchilada sauce to get my napkin dirty. The sweet tea was good. The only server that was there did not check on us at all after the food was delivered. Sat in the booth behind us rolling silverware at a volume that can only be described as severely insulting. Even after looking over my shoulder a time or two to maybe you've heard of the hint that her actions were extremely inconsiderate, she continued. Our tea was never topped off and finally had to ask her if we could get our ticket. So, all in all it was NOT worth the time, money, or absolutely incredible amount of heartburn that I have right now as I write this review. And I have drank about 30% of a...
