Food and service was great! However, dining in or sitting and waiting on the food...that experience was poor. The kitchen (visible from door) was filthy along with the floors. Two employees came in for their shift while we were waiting on our order and just began serving. Didn't wash hands, no hair net, never put on gloves (only the cook was wearing gloves) - so the lady was placing and removing the bread from the toaster with her BARE HANDS ๐Ÿ‘€, it just wasn't the cleanest environment that I would want to eat in - especially in the midst of a pandemic (COVID-19). If you're looking for a "Waffle House" experience, this is your place. Let me be clear, I'm fine with mom and pop places, I believe they have the best food. But I expected a little more effort to protect my food from bare hands. Do better because I was thrilled to support a Black Owned establishment in such a small town. Maybe I'll try again next time.

My last visit to Magnolia was 10 Years ago, until last weekend. Hands down, STILL The Best Breakfast In Town!! **MY FAVES: Grits, Sausage Patties, Pecan Waffle, Shredded Hash Browns, Toast, Freshly Brewed Coffee. **Waitress: Debra, + the OnDemand Order Chef are True Gems, and in my opinion are certified Magnolia Arkansas Treasures! Their kind, welcoming personalities we refreshing. **Budget Friendly. Diamond In The Rough Restaurant, that is a MUST VISIT for all of the Locals in Town.

Was in town for a meeting and asked around about a place for supper. Heard several people recommend this place. They were spot on Older building is occupied by some good old country cooking. We had ham & cheese omelette, hash browns, pecan waffles and biscuits and gravy. Yummy ๐Ÿ˜‹ Mister James was visiting with the guests and his staff was on point. I had zero complaints and will stop next time I'm here.

Well its good to know mr James is open again. And not a ugly empty vacant building. Collecting dust and cob webs. Even if it's open only in the mornings. I hope good waitresses and cooks are working there. And all the good home cooked soul food is back. I hope so anyway. That use to be one of my favorite places in town to eat at. But its way past time to do some modernizing. The bathrooms for example. Update. Remodel. Replace things. Give the building a face lift. The old original tables, booths, chairs & the floor. Their the same table, booths, chairs and floor when it was beef and biscuits. That was decades ago. For another example. Bring the building to 21stcentury standards. Replace the old original grill/stove. It's the original stove/grill when it was beef and biscuits. And clean up good around it. Replace the old faded red window shades. Keep the whole inside clean and nice. Replace all the burt out light bulbs. Do some wire rerouting. The cameras for one more example. Make the wiring look professional. And get back into the old normal 12 hr work schedule/routine it use to be. I hope that it doesn't...

I go to Mr James as often as I can. Best breakfast around. Good everything else too. I enjoy the hustle and bustle atmosphere. Food is always good. Service is always good. I'm always alone so I get a small single table and enjoy my experience. Coffee cup don't get empty there. Fresh brewed. I always leave a tip no matter what. Especially when I work nights, I get off in the morning and enjoy a great breakfast. If later in the day I'll get a chicken fried steak, or a big home style burger with a good helping of fries. They have a menu full of choices, portions are good size, drink selection is good. I see nothing wrong with this place. I will...
