Kakkoii Sushi and Ramen — Restaurant in Malden

the lady at the counter was very nice and friendly but there was this one guy who was rude. it was my first time ever eating there in the food court. i brought the dishes to them and he, (almost yelling) out loud, told me to put it down on the table. geez.

food: the ramen was just okay. my bf said he didnt enjoy it and that it was disappointing. i ordered the pork katsu don. it was also pretty disappointing too . some of the egg wasn't fully cooked. you can see the gooey egg whites on it. under the egg and crispy pork, it had strings of onions. it gave a good fragrance but that was just it. lots of rice underneath but the rice ratio to the pork was just way too much. most disappointing of all is that there is no sauce on it. i was just eating plain rice, crispy pork, and...

Ordered the spicy ramen, seaweed salad with tuna tar tar & gyoza. The ramen was just okay, the broth lacked flavor, the pork was a little rough. The salad was decent, tuna & seaweed tasted fresh. Not sure what it was mixed with but it was tasty. The dumplings were ok as well, lack of flavor again. The dipping sauce helps make it tastier. The location is blah, some construction going on, dirty floors & weird smell, this has always been the same. I might come back once the boba place opens...

When I used to work nearby here I often ordered for lunch takeout and never disappointed. Nowadays I still go back to get food from there if I do groceries shopping in that supermarket. Pretty much the only food stall in the food court didn’t raise price as much over the years, with the given amount of food for its price.
