Starbucks — Restaurant in Malibu

Even though the staff seems a little miffed most of the time, and they sometimes get your drink wrong, this is still one of the best Starbucks I've been to. The line is always fast-ish. The ocean is just across the highway and gives a nice breeze (although outdoor seating needs to be vastly improved. Fire pit or heaters are a must, and outdoor misters wouldn't be terrible, but the seating is blah), the market nearby always has great choices and still has the feeling of the original Trancas market, and beyond everything else, the location is prime. Right next to Zuma Beach. Again, the service can be shotty, the outdoor patio is not very useful in cold or hot weather, but the location and design of the new store is beautiful. The management is very entitled. But the location and decor is enough for me to give 5 stars. But this could change if outdoor seating and service is not improved. Today I got something and the person working was very nice and the drink was prompt-ish. I've seen drive-thrus at capacity make food faster to be honest. This location is not perfect, but 5 stars are not an indication of perfection, just an overall feeling. So again, at this Starbucks, the location and decor overshadows the service, speed and outdoor seating. But just enough. Also they fixed an issue with the restrooms, which was a huge flaw... Thank...

If I had a way to rate this Starbucks as a NEGATIVE 5 I would do it!!! The manager on duty June 20, 2022 at 5:30 was irresponsible in his filling of mobile orders. I as well as three other customers watched him fill order after order for people that had ordered after we had online. How do we know this???? ... because we asked the people who were standing around waiting when their order said it would be filled- all were after the four of us!! We ordered teas and he filled every coffee drink he could fill first. Additionally, it appeared that he and one of the women working were actually doing this on purpose as they kept picking up the tea glasses and putting them back down and snickering to each other. Not really sure why they did this but it was ridiculous! Me and the other three patrons waited 27 minutes PAST when our orders should have been filled. Starbucks should have a refund on their app because I certainly would have asked for a refund and left. I will never go back to this Starbucks EVER and it's literally 10...

CHIPPY STAFF w/ Great Coffee! I think the staff at this Starbucks are a bit sensitive as they encounter a lot of older “Karen” types. I feel bad for them, however they should treat friendly customers a little better, I wasn’t totally happy with the service. I was literally standing behind my Dad in line (we were paying separately) and some lady (barista) told me to back up. Ummm… I was in the right spot, no need for ‘tude!

That being said, the coffee was phenomenal and not watered down! I ordered a cold brew with oat-milk and I absolutely loved it. It’s low-calorie and my Starbucks go-to. The decor and structure was amazing, definitely an artistic and beautiful Starbucks. Both inside and out, it was trendy and very inviting.
