This place came highly recommended by a friend. One of my gfs and I went to check out Karaoke night and was highly disappointed. We got there just after happy hour (5-7) started. Got beers, a shot and a mixed drink. I opened a tab with my card. Sat at a booth. And was waiting for karaoke to start, we were infact a few hours early. So at one point after a few drinks, we ordered brisket nachos. They were pretty good. The bar tender was so sweet and on point. We decided to go have a cigarette outside and I left my purse and phone with a half a plate of nachos on the table and asked the bartender if it was ok to bring our drinks out to have a smoke. She said yes. When we came back from outside, our table was cleaned and my purse and phone were both gone!!! I asked the bartender where my stuff was and she asked the young man who cleaned our table. He brought both to me and said we thought y’all was gone. Ummm…. I left my purse and phone on the table with my card at the bar with an open tab, and you thought I left? He never apologized or tried to make it better. I asked to speak to a manager and No one came said anything to me. We sat back at our booth. And for 45 min no one came talk to us or asked if we needed anything. So I got up and went ask for a manager. A very nice guy came and talked to me. After I told him what happened he offer me a fresh beer and told me the guy who cleaned our table, Was a co owner. What? This place is a gem! My Bestie and I were out running errands and landed in this adorable eatery. The staff was friendly and the dining area was clean and comfortable. The posted menu displays many options. I opted for the smash burger and honey let me tell you it did not disappoint! My girlfriend had the chicken salad sandwich and said it was def fresh and delish. Simple offerings, more cafeteria style (order at the register). In my biased opinion, anyone sporting a La Marzocco espresso machine has it going on. These folks definitely do. Turkey Egg & Cheese (no cheese for me) on a toasted plain bagel fit the bill. Pleasant staff, 4 gals in the front of tye house, 3-4 in the kitchen. Casual period blues & such on the stereo.
