Mezza Luna — Restaurant in Manalapan Township

My food was decent, but my husband’s was not. I had lobster ravioli which was quite good. I ordered marinara instead of the sauce that came with it and that was very good. However, my husband had chicken Parmesan and he said it was not very good because it just had tomato sauce instead of marinara and was quite bland.

It was strange that the waitress brought our salad AFTER our entrees.

Also, we were only there until 7:30 but they put 2 inches of soapy water in the bathrooms and hall to clean them and my girlfriend and I had to wade through the water in the hall and sit with our feet in two inches of water to pee. Mopping could take place after everyone is gone, without the excess water. It is quite a fall hazard and they were lucky we did not fall.

Yesterday a group of nine senior ladies attended a birthday party at this establishment. They went at 4:00 PM to avail themselves of the advertised early bird special. On arrival they were advised the early bird special was only for s group of up to eight people. They were one over and could not get the special. My family loves Mezzaluna for the food and service. My wife and I went with another couple on Saturday night. As usual, the food was wonderful. Our server, Leah, was exceptional.
