I went to singing beach a few weeks ago with friends, and at first sight I was very impressed. They had a nicely maintained bath house along with a small walk up window to get basic food and snacks. However, after I went up to get a hot dog and water, I was quickly and viciously attacked by a seagull, who dove down and took a huge bite out of my hotdog!! I only had a few seconds warning from a local parking attendant, but it was too late. As I sat down on my towel with my half eaten hotdog, I was again attacked by a seagull who dive bombed me, and ate the rest of my hotdog!! I was quickly informed by two women next to us that that was quite common, and that we should eat our food out of a bag or cover it with our hand. It was very upsetting, and traumatizing to say the least. I have been to dozens of beaches over the years throughout New England, Florida and California, and have never seen such abnormal and aggressive behavior. I suggest the management and trustees of your lovely beach take this into careful consideration, and either have your staff warn people ahead of time so they can make an educated choice, as well as put up signs warning beach goers of the danger. I am just thankful that it wasn't a small child or elderly person who could have been seriously hurt by such an attack!! I suggest that part of the 7 dollar fee to get on the beach, and the parking fees you collect daily be invested in signs to warn beach goers so that this does not happen again!

Read moreThe Beach was beautiful BUT Senior and Junior parking attendant were over the top rude to myself my daughter and my friend. I was screamed at by 2 different parks employees to move my car. I was told not to temporarily park past the entrance to let out my young daughter and handicapped friend at the beach with their heavy beach bags. I clearly communicated to them that I was dropping off my handicapped friend and young daughter. I was yelled at by Senior Parks guy to “move along.” While this confrontation was happening there were no cars in front or behind me. After I finished dropping them off which took approximately 1-2 minutes, I drive up to the senior parking attendant to politely tell him I’m not from the area, my friend is handicapped and cannot carry her bags long distance from the parking lot to the beach! The Senior parking attendant continued to yell at me and point his finger in the direction of the road out saying move along mam! Unfortunately he refused to look at me and acknowledge his inappropriate behavior that was incredibly wrong and over the top dramatic considering I have a HANDICAPPED friend!!! I reported to local police that day and I was told the local parks and recreation department would reach out to me about what happened. I never got a call. Shame on you parks and recreation at...
Read moreThe beach itself and its location were nice. I also really liked that there was bathrooms and showers for use. Their food stand was good too, and so was their walking trail by the entrance. My only two complaints is that, 1. If you are lucky enough to find street parking as a non-resident, you still have to walk a quarter mile to the beach and pay $7 per person that is walking into the beach. 2. If you don't find street parking, there is only one place that offers non-resident parking which is still a little over a quarter mile away, and they charge $25 per car, plus the $7 per person you have to pay when you get there. If you were there on a weekday, you could park in the close resident parking though, still for $25 per car. There is a little turn around where you could drop your stuff and then come back to pick it up once you went back to get your car, if you parked far away. Finally, the water itself wasn't very clean, with some plastic floating in it and a bunch of feathers, which wouldn't have been too bad, but they kept floating into our hands and face when swimming. Anyway, it was still fun, but the charges and non-resident discrimination, was rather discouraging. Again, the beach itself and the facilities and trails were rather...
