Donuts — Restaurant in Manhattan

As you have somehow purged my review from four months that ago, here it is again so the public can know. Have one fewer stars for trying to alter the public record.

Formerly our favorite donut place, but back to Varsity Donuts for us.

The new manager (we know because he made sure to tell us) seems to have trouble regulating himself and was extremely aggressive with us and other customers for some reason. He may be better suited to dealing with the late night drunk crowd, but I certainly wouldn't want to run into him on a Sunday morning.

This is a serious pity as the previous staff has always been very welcoming and friendly.

Honestly I sat on this review for a few days because of our otherwise positive associations, we have been getting donuts there since it opened and enjoyed the (previously) welcoming atmosphere, but this experience was bad enough to sour my wife and I on this...

The donuts here are absolutely delicious and are, in my opinion, the best tasting donuts in Manhattan. That being said, the selection here is pretty small. They only have cake donuts (glazed, white icing, and caramel icing), glazed donut holes, and a cinnamon roll type of donut (not sure exactly what it's called). However, if those are the kind of donuts you're craving, then this is your place. Prices seem to be about the same as other donut shops.

Edit: I went back in today and they have really expanded their selection since I was there last. As a result I'm changing my result from 4 to 5 stars. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to any...

We stopped in to buy a couple of dozen donuts along with coffee on our way to our visit to Snyder Stadium. The helpful staff was assisted by the owner who helped us transport the 10+ cups of coffee and donuts out the door. Very delicious donuts and coffee!! I came back the next day and bought the apple fritter (which is nearly as big as your head) as a treat for my son. as I traveled back to Chicago I had no shortage of offers to assist me with my Paradise donut parcel.
